  1. ouch you just busted his bubble.. lol
  2. will you have to rerun the cable from the back to the front or is there a connector where the camera connects onto the cable
  3. have been wanting to install one myself but was wanting to hear from some that have done it themselfs have you tried calling lockpick for help? hope you get it fixed and let us know how good it is and how hard it was getting the cable to the front of the car. seems like running the cable would have been easier to run under the carpet from the back. good luck....
  4. well i bought a set of bosch wipers and so far really like them, sales guy said just be carefull if alot of snow or ice from overnight. if you turn the wipers on before breaking them loose then can break, but in alabama we dont get much snow or ice and i am from mich. org. so i know about cleaning the windshield off first. i went on retailmenot .com and got a coupon code and then ordered the blades thur advance auto and they were already on sale so the drivers cost 18. and the passenger side cost 15 and i bought 2 oil filters for my truck and a jug of windshield solvent and a set of brake shoes for my daughters car and got a $40 off coupon. 20 for her and 20 for my purchase so figured my blades only cost me $21.00 they always have great deals on this web site. give them a try if you have advance auto in your area.only thing is you have to order and pay online with a credit card and then you can go pick your stuff up right away from the store. also her brakes pads were wagner thermoquite and she is also getting a $15. rebate on them also they just went on sale yesterday
  5. my daughter has a 2007 3.3 minn-van that she uses for a mail route and her check engine light is on and saying same thing about crankshaft postion senser also and it will go weeks with no problem and then act up and she will stop and turn it off then back on and sometimes she has to do this a couple of times in one day then it wont happen again for a while, she doesnt want to put it in the shop as they always tell you if it isnt doing it while they can see it then they cant do nothing,of course hers has about 74k on the engine, told her she should check to see if her 7yr 100k warrenty powertrain warrenty would cover this but she wants to act like its no big deal,,, Kids... oh well hope they gets your fixed okay, let us know how it turns out
  6. i have always replaced the belt tensioner when ever i replaced the belt as have been told that alot of times the tensioner loses some of its tension and can let the belt come off and ruin your new belt. go ask alot of mechincs and bet most of them will tell you to replace both at the same time.course if you want to chance it you can save some $$$
  7. need to replace wiper blades bought some cheaper ones at walmart about 14 for both but not great was wanting to try bosch icons but they are alot higher? are they worth it looked like rain-ex blades same price but had some bad reviews due to wipers coming apart, any thoughts on any other brands
  8. i just turned 41k on my 17 inch kumo tires and still have great tread on mine. i live in a small town and go on long trips with the car. one thing if you do alot of city driving will wear your tires alot more than normal , i know this as my daughter delivers mail and will wear out a set of tires in less than 1yr. couldnt believe she wears than out that fast but stop and go and around town driveing does takes it toll on her tires, also she goes thur a set of brake pads every 6months and or about 7k miles and i put wagner thermo-quite pads on the front which are top of line pads. oh well good luck with your new tires and hope that solves your problem
  9. too much cost for me guess ill keep washing the dust off of mine, good luck and let us know if they help
  10. great idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. just changed my oil again this time i removed the engine cover instead of trying to do it thur the little hole. was much easier(just lift up on the back side and then the front it just pops off) i had asked the dodge service manager about how it came off and they said it didnt. oh well i had the last oil change done by the dodge dealership and man did they overtighten the oil filter cap which wouldnt come loose with the wrech it kept wanting to slip with the wrench had to use a big set of vice grips. got it off without damaging the rubber nut on it,i put in the new oil filter and o ring from dodge $7.16 plus tax and tightened back up like i have always done on older filters hand tightened as much as i could then 1/4 turn with wrench. then put in my syn oil. and then put the top cover back on. have to get a bigger oil catch pan as 5.5 quarts fills my pan to the top.. made a mess trying to lift and drain back into the used oil jug.. lol have 36k on it now and it doesnt lose a bit of oil between oil changes
  12. pounds to U.S. 8000=$12,739.26 wow a little high think id report it stolen and get rid of it hope you find out more and it is alot less
  13. what type do you all rec. was thinking of trying the bosch icon blades they cost about $24 for the drivers side and $19 for the pass. side the parts man said they were the best and last a long time. have never tried this new style. rain x makes a set also,, any ideas????
  14. guess i was lucky my came already turned on from the factory...
  15. hope you enjoy it , i have a white one but had a silver van before, wish mine was silver or gray easier to keep clean, doesnt show the road film or light dust as bad as white does.... i put on window vents that fit in the window channel have always used them instead of the ones that stick on and noticed more wind noise after installing them they were wearther-tech brands. not much noise but a little....
  16. dodge comes with 3yr/36,0000 bumper to bumper warranty and also 5yr/100,000 powertrain warranty (which is engine and transmission )
  17. well if you had read my post had to have a side cover replaced, so when the battery went bad we were heading that way anyway so yes i stopped by to get it replaced . wasnt sure if the local parts store would have the right one, which would have cost about $6.00 for 2 of them. only took them about 10 minutes to fix it for me.once they took it apart to find out what kind of battery was in it.....
  18. sue go to retailmenot.com click on advance auto coupon codes get the code then go to advance auto web site order your pads throm-quite pads are real good and advance will give you 1 free set of pads when they wear down. and if you need rotors they have them also. total cost pads $58.99 rotors reg ones $52.99 or wagner brand $53.99 if you spend more than $150. you get $50. off or $20 off more than $50. i have used them for both rotors and pads for all my dodge vans and my daughters postal car. they have good parts. you order on line and pay on line then go down to your local store and pick up the parts, also by you buying the parts you get the warrenty if your mech. buys the parts you dont get it.
  19. i have a 2011 mainstreet at 10k they told me they had to turn the front rotors due to them warping, aabout 1 month ago took it back in for the last oil change with 32k on it. told them the brakes were shuddering again, after checking them they said the rotors needed to be replaced at my cost we got into a discussion about that and as i told them they should have replaced them at the 10 k instead of turning them, then they offered to do the labor for free if i bought the parts and i still said no as they wanted 190.00 for the rotors.told them it should be taken vare of the one time goodwill offer thur chrysler. they called back later and said they would replace everything for free. they put on new pads and rotors. i had checked on the parts thur the local parts store and rotors and pads would have cost me less than 140.00 and do it myself.
  20. if you have advance auto parts stores in canada go to retailmenot.com and click on their coupon codes and buy on line and you will save alot of money also advance also will give 1 free set of pads after they are wore out all the other parts store that sells them wont i always but wagners thremo-quite pads about $54.00 ive been told ceramic pads are harder on your rotors due to the heat they build up but they dont give you the dust problems like reg pads.... goood luck
  21. have a 2011 mainstreet with 17 inch kumos and just turned 33k they they still look great they look less than half worn out, have rotated them 2 times so far.i do alot of interstate driving.i run 36 to 38 psi in them.my daughter runs a postal route in her dodge van and she goes thur a set of tires in 7 months, all the stop and go and on-off the road wears them out her brakes only last about 6 months also but it is how you drive and how you take care of them.
  22. had to have the plastic side cover replaced on the passenger seat today as the tabs broke loose fron the metal clips. got home, and then went to go out for lunch with the wife and see a message on the info center that my battery in my key fob is running low , so i go down to the local dealership and they check the fob and say the battery is fine and then they have a long talk about if it even has a battery in it. i laugh at that and told them it had to have a battery in it. well to make a loooong story short they looked it up and and said yes their was a battery in it and they went ahead and put a new one in. WHEW they wore me out on this repair. it was covered under the 36k waranty. i do have to admit this was not the dealer the i normal use and wont go back to them as this was such easy repair work i didnt think they could mess it up.but i dont know.. oh well so far so good
  23. well just took my journey back to the dealer and they installed the new rotors and also put new pads on also only took them 1 hour so i waited on them. back on the road with new front brakes didnt think to ask if i would get the 12 or 12000 mile warrenty that you usally get with dealer installed parts. as this was a one time good faith repair on the brakes oh well i am happy and when they start to give me any more problems will fix them myself. do have to say that cullman dodge in cullman al. does go the extra mile to help their cust.
