  1. Typically this would be covered by any 30 day guarantee a dealer might have but yes if they’re trying to use the extended warranty then it would be 30 days after purchasing. A lifter I think would be covered under your 5yr/100,000 mile powertrain warranty but it would depend on your in service date.
  2. Welcome to the forum! It really depends on which one you end up with. Journeys are pretty hit or miss. Some seem to have few issues while others may have a lot. It’s definitely worth paying for a car fax or checking the service history to see if it’s been a problem child. They’re typically consistent in the problem areas and most aren’t crazy stupid to be fixed. Definitely poke around the forum and see what others are saying.
  3. Welcome! Yeah it’s hit or miss with problems I’m sure there are others who’ve experienced similar issues. but this is a good place to get info and share in the pain ?
  4. Hey Everyone! We’re rolling into our 8th month of Journey Ownership and here’s what we’ve done do far! Miles: 21,102 average MPG: 25.3 (I track for my work too) low was 21.1 to 27.8 high. services: 3 oil changes (I use full synthetic!) 1 set of Michelin defenders, 1 new strut (warranty), and a new air filter. so far I’m pretty pleased with the Journey and it’s performance in general. We’re gearing up for a trip to Glacier National Park and I know our little trash wagon is up to the task! Something to keep in mind my regular commute includes county roads and even on some work appointments I have to go down some pretty rough roads so a strut is not uncommon! ? Happy 4th everyone.
  5. Oh 100%. I liked the Nexens but even compared to them at new I think Michelin’s have improved its performance a bit
  6. So everyone I just had to buy my first set of tires for the Journey! The good old factory Nexens did survive 20,000 miles which isn’t bad for what I’ve experienced with tires. since I drive around 34,000 miles a year I decided to go with the Michelin Defender LTX. I have had good luck with Michelin’s in the past so thought why not give them a shot. Boy, what an upgrade! I won’t say it makes the a huge difference in handling and ride but it is noticeable! the handling definitely more responsive and it grips the road a lot better. Not saying it’ll solve all the Journeys problems but I definitely like it just a little more!
  7. You’re good! I 100% took it as a compliment.
  8. Pretty sure the Chevy Equinox still holds the worst car ever made title. I could tell you all stories on them! back to the Journey, I know we all have been here long enough to know they’re not perfect or necessarily super reliable but it’s unfortunately the norm with modern vehicles.
  9. Sounds like a Wednesday built Journey! ?. I will say I have had my fair share of psychotic electrical problems with newer cars. Some even under 3,000 miles! But so far the old trash wagon hasn’t done anything stupid so we’re good so far!
  10. I don’t ?. I just like their quick cleaners! I still use Mother’s and Black Magic a lot too
  11. I think it looks pretty freakin sweet!
