What is this hose, why is it disconnected and leaking

Recommended Posts

What is the hose with the clamp on it that isn't connected to anything that is below the firewall near the drive shaft?  It's leaking coolant. It has a clamp on it but isn't connected to anything. Am I missing a line that it should be connected to? There are 2 lines underneath it wrapped in heat shielding. Are these AC or coolant lines? I can't tell if they are leaking at the joints. I loose coolant fast when driving but barely any when parked and idling. Help, I was worried that it was a head gasket leaking exhaust into the coolant but then I spotted this.

Bought a 2017 Journey and this always is leaking in my garage for about 20-30 minutes after I drive it.  I am not running the A/C or heater- just fan...as far as I can tell the A/C has not clicked on and my dash lights for A/C are off.

Same as this picture above and not an answer on here?

I think the clamp is there to prevent it from being inside the car, so it will drain outside.  It is not windshield washer or radiator fluids.  They both are Blue and yellow, respectively, and this liquid is always clear without smell.  Meaning it has to be a drain but is weird that it drains that much and not running compressor.

As mentioned above it's the ac drain. By default the ac will engage on defrost settings to ensure the AC stays lubricanted. Especially since in northern states were it would only be used 1/3 of the year the seals would dry out and leak if not ran for 6+ months at a time
