  1. I’m sorry, I don’t understand how a mirror hit can crack the battery, even at 50 mph.
  2. That hit was a lot more than a mirror! Was it a semi-trailer? Cracked the battery?? You could have any number of electrical issues from that. You could have crushed wiring in a loom, the under hood fuse box could be cracked, the battery cables could be damaged. I don’t buy hit while parked with my mirror. Hit while parked sure, but no way with a mirror. If you have insurance you may want to make a claim (if it was hit/run) if not hit/run use the hitters insurance and go to a body shop….let us know what you do….
  3. Did you check the fuse for the BT module? I know on my 09 it had its own fuse
  4. Very nice! I’m looking at the same vehicle!
  5. The one in my 09 is useless. I have used full synthetic oil since I had 500 miles on the car. It shows up at EXACTLY 2,500 miles. Every single time. I just reset it and change the oil/filter at 5000 miles….
  6. I have an 09. Eats pads and rotors like mad. Like I have to do them again after 20k miles! I know, I could upgrade to later model brakes, but I haven’t paid for pads in years. Gotta love that lifetime warranty O’REILLY Autoparts has. Anyway, make sure you rotate the rear calipers in, don’t use a c clamp! I just bought a brake caliper tool set for $25 on Amazon (didn’t want to wait 3 days for the loaner). If the caliper gives resistance, check to make sure the pressure is being released. Common issue is the rubber hose to the caliper gets restricted by the clamp. Looks fine but acts as a 1 way valve, let’s pressure in but not out. Good luck with it, not too bad really. I have it down to 30 mins a tire taking my time….
  7. And just so you know the battery is in front of the drivers side tire. Not that horrible to get to, but it is a tight fit, and definitely not buried under the motor.
  8. Curious why you want to lift it. I have 19” wheels already, not sure a bigger tire would fit in the opening. If you are thinking off road I think you have the wrong vehicle. If it’s just for looks I think you might have to be inventive. Please don’t take this wrong, it’s your car make it your own, and if lifting it does that go for it,, but you might have problems getting parts.... Someone here put an air bag suspension in to lower it, maybe you can do similar to raise it?
  9. Try deleting and repairing your phone. Seems to fix a lot of connection issues.
  10. If your battery is at 3.15 volts after being on a charger it’s dead. Don’t care how old it is, it’s dead. Can you get it tested with an electronic tester and get a print out of the results? Battery health, charge state, voltage, etc. You need a replacement battery, then to figure out when it keeps going dead. You have a draw somewhere and it’s killing your battery.
  11. Radio swapping isn’t what it used to be. Not sure that it would work, AFAIK it wouldn’t even work in another Jeep model. Maybe check with INFOTAIMENT.comHopefully someone else will chime in.
  12. Didn’t like the answers from the first post? Sorry, answers won’t change. Duplicate post...
  13. Are you kidding? Expert boat hauler for a 500# Jon boat? You have to be kidding....
  14. The only storage in the seat is on the passenger side. Didn’t you try it before you bought it? It’s not just the base that would need to be changed, the entire seat would have to be swapped out for one without the under seat storage. Never heard this complaint before.
  15. Do you have automatic climate control? In other words do you set a temperature or just turn the knob from blue to red? If you set the temperature the system is working as it should. There are sensors in the car that detect the cabin temperature and turn heat/AC on-off to meet that temperature. If it’s just the knob that’s something for someone else to answer. I have auto climate control so not sure how the basic system should function.
  16. Please let us know, may help others! Mine is beyond help, 09 with a Kenwood aftermarket, love it.
  17. Not cheap, plus you need the BT module, not built into the radio. Maybe you can add BT to your current radio. Ask the dealer parts guy...the module is around $500 if I remember
  18. What is it? Did you try rock auto or the dealer? Get a part number from the dealer, google is your friend
  19. The radio is easy. Everything that runs through it, that can be hard. You’ll need to use something like a Meistro module. Check Crutchfield, they tell you what works and what you need
  20. I went through Crutchfield.com. Put in your car info, your choices pop up. Very happy with my Kenwood with wireless CarPlay/Android Auto. BT works fantastic. Never had HVAC on my screen, but kept my steering wheel controls and backup camera with their module (Meistro?). The staff was very helpful. I think I paid around ..$700 for everything I needed ifrc
  21. I would say the Bluetooth/handsfree module is bad. I have an 09 and the BT/HF module was replaceable , although I never had to until I took it out and installed a Kenwood unit. UConnect would not work with my IPhone 11. The UConnect system was too old and UConnect was not going to update it. So if the module is replaceable you can go that route, an aftermarket unit with handsfree (like my Kenwood) or a refurbished factory unit (factoryradios.com, try them) Good luck, maybe someone else will chime in with other suggestions.....
