You pimp this rustproofing quite a bit...what brand did you use? Obviously you feel it is a worthwhile investment, have anything specific to share about it?

I watched the video on this product and you are NOT supposed to scuff the paint because it is translucent. I definitely would not prep beyond the instructions. I don't see why it wouldn't work, but it won't look like smoked chrome because your wheels are nowhere near as shiny. Maybe buy a cheap wrecked wheel to try it on before going for it on your own ride...

I like the black cross bars... I would paint the chrome to match the paint.

well got back yesterday had a great time.had a bad run of poker results but that's life i guess, the trip round trip was 4450 miles and used 157 gal of gas avg out to 28.34 mpg not bad considering 2 adults and luggage and a 3 wheel scooter tossed in the back got caught in 2 bad hail storms on the way home thought the windows were going to bust out was surprised to find only one small ding on the roof and if you look real hard you can see several other real small ones nothing bad though. while we were in vegas the car was saying only getting about 13mpg with all the stop and go driving and the red light waiting.so with out that tank of gas mpg would have been a lot higher.the traffic out there in vegas was really terrible they drive like idiots and you really have to drive defensively or you will be in an accident for sure. the journey drove great with only one hiccup and that was on the way back it said i was headed n/w and i knew i was going east so i checked the settings and went to the compass and did the relearning thing by driving in a full circle after pushing the button and that fixed it right away had to laugh on that one. almost got 30k on it and only had it about 1yr and 5 months. glad i bought the unlimited yrs and unlimited mile warranty, plan on getting my moneys worth out of it....

I have a buddy that lives there, so I go a lot. I actually prefer the local scene, off of the strip. Lots to do in Vegas besides hop from one casino to another.

I guess my thought was that the single in / dual out would need to be mounted further forward and would result in longer tail pipes. I assumed that's what you meant. More of a question than a suggestion.

Engine heat is a little higher in newer vehicles with the tight engine compartments, engine covers, insulation etc... I wouldn't worry about it. And yes, the gauge midway is about correct.

You may want to get a new meter... I checked on both sides and the brake light is only at 6 volts with the running lights on and gets 12 volts when the brake is applied. No way that they are different between models. Maybe it's been so long that you forgot? I just installed my "tail as turn" modules on Sunday, so it is pretty fresh in my mind.

I have switched to that display a couple times when pushing it and it changes constantly based on driving conditions.

I haven't seen it here... You should do it with a sprayer if you decide to do it. It will be hard to keep it consistent on that big of a piece with cans.

Actually, while the average MPG/L/100 km values are longer term averages (I suspect based on the last 1000 miles or km), the DTE is driven by a much different algorithm, based on your current fuel usage projected over the presumed amount of fuel in your tank. Resetting the MPG value doesn't make any difference to the calculation.

Temperature affects mileage, as does how hard you drive. If you were on the highway on cruise and get into stop-and-go traffic you will see very large changes in the DTE reading over relatively short distances.

Big deal . . . . it doesn't mean anything, because if you are approaching a long downhill slope the range will increase hugely, and if you have to accelerate from red lights up the streets of San Francisco it will drop just as quickly.
Just fill it up when the needle starts getting close to that big 'E'.

If you replace the brake components with quality aftermarket parts they will be just fine. It has a lot of miles on it and things like brakes need to be replaced every so often. The rust doesn't really surprise me at that many miles either. Personally, I would do as bramfrank said...see what it will take to fix your issues and decide from there.
