Lobitz68 got a reaction from dhh3 in Rear Bumper Pad Protector
Worked great for taping lines on my two-tone stained cornhole boards though. I wasn't very confident that it would work, but I ended up with very crisp lines staining wood with two different shades.

this doesn't necessarily take you off of the idiot list...

I have been meaning to do this since I bought the DJ, but was unsure if it would hold up to the dog... I guess now I will just spend the 30 minutes and get it done. Thanks.
Make sure when taping a line with dip that the first coats are lighter towards the edges and that the last coat is very wet and overlaps the tape well. You then need to peel the tape while the dip is wet. You will get a nice crisp line that way.

Not questioning the legitimacy of his question, just offering another POV... I wouldn't want to put too much weight behind this either, but I would be fine near 1.000lbs.

Lobitz68 got a reaction from Cody Chornobey Powley in Question about rear turn signal tailights
This should be as simple as adding a jumper wire from the turns to the markers... I love my LED rings as turns. Looks so much better.

Agreed. If you use the Mini H1's it is SUPER easy... I personally always buy a replacement set to work with, but it is still a lot cheaper than having them built buy a third party.

It's honestly not hard to do, but I wouldn't wait 6/ months for someo e to build my lights. Mini h1 projector is way better than stock lights so its worth it in the aspect but if you did it yourself using your own lights u hVe now should run you 200-400. Double that tho if your going to pay someone. I orderd the anzo lights for.our journey and I'll be replacing the projector in those with the mini h1 7.0 in the new year.

Dave,
I've been meaning to ask you- what setting do you use on your washing machine when you wash your FOB? Also how long do leave it in the drier?

Lobitz68 got a reaction from dhh3 in Gas Tank
I understand your frustration, but an automobile warranty is a promise by a manufacturer or dealer that it will repair or replace defects in your vehicle. Unless you can show that this is the result of a defect (which will be pretty difficult as impact is usually pretty obvious and not a claim that would typically be made when unsure) you're kind of SOL. This is very standard across the industry...
Have you seen the damage? Seems to me impact would show the damage going into the tank whereas if the tank gave out to pressure the damage would be going out of the tank.

Lobitz68 got a reaction from dhh3 in Custom Projector headlights
worth is really something each person decides for themselves... If you get a starter projector like the Mini H1, it really doesn't require any mechanical inclination to perform.
That being said, a properly done retrofit really provides for a nice driving experience and I can't get myself to drive a vehicle for very long without one. If I wasn't mechanically inclined enough to do it, I would seriously consider paying the price tag for a proper set.

Lobitz68 got a reaction from jkeaton in Question about rear turn signal tailights
They won't have anything like that and won't offer suggestions without having a DJ to look at (I have spoken to them already). I'm still guessing that there just isn't anything connected to that 3rd pin inside the housing. It's not worth cracking it open to find out though, so I will just stick with my LED ring as the brake and turn. Still looks 100X better than the amber light.

Agree... All of those batteries end up in the dump and they are not recyclable nor do they biodegrade over time.

Lobitz68 got a reaction from dhh3 in Hids in the fog lights
First off, the fog lights throw light EVERYWHERE. Please don't put HIDs in them, they will probably blind pilots in the sky they scatter so much.
I have LEDs in mine, but our fogs don't really provide much usable light, so they are really just running lights that match my retrofit in my headlights. The bulbs I got are great quality, but the oem "fog" lights really aren't fog lights at all. If you want something better, I would suggest changing the housing to one designed as a fog light. They are fairly universal and you should be able to find a number of them at different price points.

Lobitz68 got a reaction from dhh3 in Stuck on scan
Never heard of it. Try unhooking the negative battery cable for a bit. If that doesn't work, you should have a warranty on a vehicle that new. Use it...
