WaywerdSon got a reaction from johanbrandon in Exterior cleaning process
Tried the new ArmorAll Extreme Shield and it appears to work as advertised. Don't like the not hazing part, makes it tricky to get it all buffed and tends to be a little streaky, but the bugs and crud wash off without a trace and shine is pretty damn good. -

First time using Plasti Dip and this stuff is fantastic! The application isn't perfect, so at some point I'll peel it off and redo it, but I am really happy with how it looks. Now I'll have to get the headlights done. Check the full size pic in my gallery

Hate to say it but if your door was open into a traffic lane, you are at fault, even if the other guy crossed4 lanes to get there! More importantly no one was hurt and it's not a difficult repair for a good shop. Happens all the time.

WaywerdSon reacted to jkeaton in OEM tires bald after 18000 miles
Understand that the tires that came with your car were not designed by Kumho. They were designed by Chrysler. If your new car came with a set of Kumho's, Kumho made the tire but they made it to the specifications set by Chrysler. The OEM tires that came with your car can’t be replaced (which is a good thing) after they’ve worn out. And they will wear out much sooner than they should. This is because virtually all auto manufacturers specify very soft rubber which means they wear out too fast. You can buy what you think is the same tire, but it will have a different model number when sold by a tire store. Auto manufacturers do this because they want that new car to have the smoothest ride possible, even at your expense of having to buy a new set of tires at half the mileage you should have to. When you test drive that brand new car and it rides very, very smoothly you’re more likely to buy it. You’ll find out how fast the tires wear out much later, and when you do you’ll blame it on the tire maker. Don't blame the tire maker, blame the vehicle manufacturer.

What are your application concerns? I am fairly proficient with this stuff and there are a bunch of small tricks that really help you get a nice finished product... Maybe I can help.

WaywerdSon got a reaction from forcedintoit in Panic button
I set mine off all the time with the damn key in my pocket. I have yet to see a practical use for that thing, I suppose if I forgot where my car was at Walmart it might be helpful, but honest, if I'm that dumb maybe I shouldn't be allowed to drive in the frst place?
