Yes you would think they know that much......Wonder if I should ask them to make sure the oil cooler is activated also??? ....LOL..... We have a touch screen that turns on the 120 volt outlet(at the rear)....So why not have the trailer 4-pin plug on there also to turn on.............I guess that would be way to simple.....Caper.......

Oh yes I forgot one other thing the Factory hitch is Vertical so you will need a adaptor to use a bike rack or anything else as the hitch reciever is up/down with the locking pin.....Not the norm as with other makes/models....Caper........

Don't get your hopes up with the trailer tow prep package(read my post under towing section) If you plan to tow in May good luck to you. Did you order a hitch and wiring harness yet?.............Make sure the send the power to the 4-pin trailer plug also. Trailer tow prep package just includes from the dealer a oil cooler, and fuse and wiring "READY" to use with no 12 volts there yet!............Caper.......

I am at the part now where I ordered the hitch,because it didn't come with one, went back to get it installed, now ready to tow and no power at the 4-pin plug..........Not very happy at all............I even had the tow prep package.Tow prep my a$$.........No hitch,No wiring, no power What is there to prep for?????.......Caper............

Well hear is my story.... Ordered the factory Mopar/Dodge hitch back in Nov 2011 when I bought the new 2012 Journey R/T AWD here in Ontario Canada, After the brand new Journey came with the trailer tow prep package ......But no hitch??? So that's alright...I got over it.........So when I did the first oil change, I told the service Dept. to put the hitch on ....No trouble, They did the oil,filter, hitch, 4-pins plug (which was just ty-wrapped onto the large 7-pin hole opening, looks alfull for a brand new 2012....IMO........................ Now today March 24, I went to use my trailer for the first time ...And guess want .......NO POWER AT THE 4-PIN PLUG.......I am P'-off. Why is it so hard for the dealers to keep up I checked the 20 amp fuse and it is there. So if anybody gets a Brand new Dodge ride with the trailer tow prep package, Don't leave the sales lot thinking your ready to tow...You may need to go back again to install the hitch and wiring hardness and then go back a second time to activate it!!! .....Caper.........

You only drive about 15 K a year........So the 2009 with 141,000 must not have been all you from day one then... You must have bought it used? Do you have the 19" tire/wheel package? Any issues with the AWD over the 4 years? Thanks...........Caper..................

What was your KM at when you got the work done?.....Was it near what the owner's manual stated? ......Caper.........

I still don't understand what change from 2009/2010.................now 2011/2012 models? If Dodge knew about this issue when the journey had it's first couple of years ............How did they change the brakes/rotors for the current models? Does anybody know? Thanks.....Caper...........

Not the greatest for me either........Does do well on the highyway IMO......I am just past 6000 KM so up until now.......I am not really getting up hopes up too high.....I will wait until spring/summer road trip to do more ratings.. Still better than the 5.3 avananche my wife drove around town.....LOL.....Caper........

Yes I just checked my now.....It has a lock on the pass. side glove box. arm rest lifts up and has storage there. There are two storage areas in the back under the floor mats that have pull-out liners for ice that's melts(coolers) On some models there ia a pocket on the back side of the drivers seat with two hooks to keep shopping bags up-right. ....How many Journey owners knew what those hooks were for?....LOL.... And pocket in front of the two front cup-holders for small items.... Hope that helps..... Also have a rechargable LED flashlight in the left side of the inside rear hatch that will keep charged in the holder...... ,...........Caper........

My auto insurance agent told me my 2012 Journey has the higest safety rating for there rates that affect my cost..........I switched over my 2005 Chev avalanche over to the brand new 2012 Journey R/T AWD and the rates were about$ 60.00 year cheaper...........Go figure?..........They also told me the smaller compact cars have a bad safety rating ..........Caper....

My 2012 R/T bought in Canada .......has no two red strips after the front logo...........Bought in Nov/2011..........Also don't have the 8.4 " screen .........But the wife drives it anyway.....LOL.......Hope they change the red stips in the logo after my build..............Or you will be disappointed............Caper...........

I check on You Tube sometimes for a clip on how to projects............It helped many times on the ATV axle ruber boots replacement....Caper...

Just remember the R/T with 19" wheels is AWD.......How does changing to 17" affect this......?? .Caper.

I don't understand. You start it with the FOB ,but have no key or push-button? Do you just use the FOB like a remote starter?...what safety features does this system have so you need the button on you all the time. Do you still need to push the brake peddle in before driving away? Thanks,....Caper...

When did they go to the push button .....without the key? 2011/2012? So the 2009....and the 2010 has the normal key? Thanks.....Caper......

What RPM were you at in 5th doing 85 KPH I can check my 2012 R/T with your stats. However I don't drive mine very much, the wife does so I have really no input to tell you....... I can drive it and tell you what RPM I at in Auto-stick 5th and 6th gear and just in autmatic doing 85 KPH...... ..................Caper............

Same issue with people that bought the 2012 R/T models with the 4.3 touch screen. The 8.4 is listed to come as standard eq. on the 2012 R/T models........but they were listed as "LATE" 2012. so I did know about it before I bought.........However some may not ............. I think you got what you bought........What does it have on you window sticker from the factory build? ....................Caper.....

Can he check the tranny temps on the driver info display with his SXT?....Or is this just on the R/T? ....Caper.......
