Are they still using the same size brakes for the 2012 Journey's? Any differance between the CVP(Canadian Value Package,SXT,or the R/T? What about brake size from 17" wheels up to the 19" on the R/T Same brakes? You would think after 4 years comming back to the dealers they would have up-graded by now? Are the 2012 still from the Avenger platform? Thanks...................Caper............

It sounds like the Journey they ordered for "YOU" will be yours if you like/want it........Or they will just put it on there lot. You just put a request in for the options you wanted and when it comes ............They will make a deal with you.................or put it on there lot. IMO....it's comming if you want it or not............Caper....

Hello , just wondering if there are any 2012 Journey R/T sold in Canada yet with the 8,4 inch screen. Back in Nov when I got mine it said late 2012 on the Dodge.ca web-site for the 8,4. just woundering if they are out yet? How about in the U.S. Did you need to wait for the 8.4 also in the 2012 R/T model? Thanks....Caper.......

I thought the $2000.00 off the Canadian Journey R/T in 2012 was due to the fact the R/T only has the 4.3 in it. The web-site told me ,back in Nov 2011, The 8.3 was a late to arrive in 2012 .........here in Canada anyway.... The list on my R//T was just over 34.000 and I did recieve 2000 off..............Caper...........

The 2012 Journey is no different filling up also...........I only hold the gas pump lever at about half when filling.........The seal around the hinged lid is very tight .........even worse if the gas pump has those round rubber over-flow rings on it. The back pressure comming up the fuel tank filler neck is the issue here and filling up slowly is the only answer I found................People waiting behind me don't like waiting very long though!.....LOL...... so when at the pumps.........Don't sit and wait behind any Dodge Journey's ........You will need to wait longer...............Thanks for the review......................LOL..............Caper.......

May I asked how much is the factory hood deflector?.....( I am from Canada also) I didn't see the factory deflector yet, but I am guessing the two holes may be for a rubber or nylon stopper to keep it from rubbing on the hood. How much extra would the dealer charge to install, I don't think too much. Apple Auto Glass and the other shops that sell these include the installlation with there purchase....Caper......

Just checked my new 2012 R/T with 4300 km and the oil level is great ....right at the top were it was from new (3.6 VVT)....AWD.......a little change in colour though.......not clear anymore just a light tan..............I going to do my first oil change at 5000 km.........with Engine break-in I don't want to leave it in any longer than that.........IMO............Caper...........

All highway and only getiing around 23 mpg? Should be around 28-30mpg.........Shouldn't it?.............Caper

Do the new 2012 have the lifetime up-dates? Like Windancer said ......I can't believe they don't have this option for the customer in this day and age. I glad I didn't get the Nag. with my 2012 R/T now and know it will be outdated next year. My portable one is just fine when we only use it about 3-4 times a year anyway....................Caper.....

It looks like the LED ones in his link1 are already installed with there own housing...You can see the word "TOP" on the lens.......Caper....

How long did you have it plugged in before you started driving? The block heater is not used for you to have heat right away when driving, it is there to keep the engine block from freezing and keeping the antifreeze luke warm. there are also may different type of elements with different wattage ratings. Dodgecares may know the watts on the journey elements. Also most block heaters now have a thermostat built right into the wire now to prevent the element from comming on until say for example -17 deg C.hope that helps a bit. Remember the older block heaters drew lots of amps when plugged in they even needed a separte circuit so the current draw was around 10-12 amps easy. The Brass plant I work in make some thread- in block heaters for the high end models/makes but we do not put the elements in just forge and CNC machine the brass. .....Caper...

Is it AWD............maybe a issue there if it's not the Tranny...........Caper..........

Not to be rude or anything but how many people drive your Journey? Do any drive with two feet? My mother was very hard on brakes due to the fact she always rested her left foot very slightly n the brake while driving. Are you with your youngest all the time when they drive? I was young once ,and remember how I drove my parents car.............Caper..................

I have a 2012 R/T and mine is under the hood on the drivers side right next to the large flat power fuse box. don't know about the 2009.........Caper...........

My 2012 Factory Mopar Hitch was installed yesterday and has a Max Tongue weight on the reciever listed as 200 pounds.......Caper.........

Well got my Factory installed hitch installed yesterday....Well sure is different......... pin locks up-ward insead of out. Now I need to find a adaptor to fit my bike rack into the reciever. Also noticed the part of the factory hitch that holds the wiring plug is made for the larger 7- pin tow package. So the dealer just stuck the 4-pin wiring in there and used a ty-rap.....LOL... Looks bad for a install on a brand new 2012 Dodge I need to find a insert for the mount to make it look cleaner. They must make this hitch for many more models to have the 7-pin build right into the hitch ??? My buddy has a 2011 Crew that has I aftermarket 2" hitch and I must say the factory one does look alot Cleaner from the back No large Square tubing being shown.......Except for the cheesey wiring hanging there with a wire ty-rapped.....LoL .............Caper...........

My window sticker also says that with the Alpine logo on each door inside????? Maybe the Apline is only the amp and not the speakers???? ..........Anyboby know? In the rear pics of the Black Journey......The R/T here in Canada has the AWD logo also the back...........That one did not. Can you even get a AWD Journey in the U.S.? ...................Caper.....................

Hello does anybody have a part number for the chrome/stainless steel step bars from Westin Manufacturing? I have found a part number on the Dee-Zee site for the but being from Canada the Westin Bars go on Sale at Canadian Tire from time to time. Just though sombody may have a part number to give them as they have no listing at Canadian Tire for 2011/2012 step bars. Any other ones out there that I can apply to the Journey I would like to know......thanks I am going to wait until the Canadian winter is over to install them anyway..........................Caper..........
