  1. OK you win! That is brrr. Anyone from the territories wants to post some lower temps?.
  2. Link to code readers: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_0_3?url=search-alias%3Dautomotive&field-keywords=obd+ii+scanner&sprefix=obd%2Caps%2C211
  3. This quote sounds a lot like sissy talk to me.... Now tough guys like us who live in the center of the universe don't need the girly aids of heated seats & steering wheels, we tough it out with our +3 degree weather today.....even had the window down a crack. We tough as nails here!!
  4. It doesn't matter what scanner is used as long as it is OBDII compatible it will retrieve the code. I wish we could offer some better advice on what to do but with no code given I can't even direct you to a helpful link on the net. Since you are stationed out in the UK is your DJ a diesel model? Do they still have Dodge dealerships in the UK? If you are under warranty then you will need to contact the dealer and arrange for it to be towed....at their expense if new.
  5. Amazon has plenty of code readers at cheap prices. As JKeaton mentioned Autozone & Advance Auto will scan CEL's for free and if you are in Canada the guy at Part Source said they scan CEL's for free too. Please keep us posted on what happens as I change my oil too and want to make sure that if your issue has anything oil change related I can learn from this. BTW welcome to the forum!!!!
  6. Sounds good to me so I can relate to how many miles to the next exit when I`m travelling in the U.S. It`s the only thing that makes us feel like distant neighbors. :sandbox:
  7. Hmmm, I must be draining all of the oil out of mine because a 5L jug and a quart of oil bring me to the top of the safe line.
  8. Unless the OP totally screwed up on the oil change I don`t see why it would be a problem knowing that the oil was changed. Interesting to find out the reason why he is getting the message.
  9. I don't understand the reason why people feel the need to replace the factory oil early.... the owners manual doesn't ask for it, the dealer (or at least mine) said to come in at 3000 miles and not sooner. The last time I was instructed to come in for the 1500 mile oil change was back in 1990 for my Acura Integra.
  10. You've achieved my all time best fuel economy when I drove down to Florida. I was blown away when I filled the tank and got the 944 km DTE. Truly amazing on the highway!!
  11. LOL....don't forget to keep a print out of this thread in the glove compartment for proof of approval!!
  12. All of Italy or just certain provinces? I can't believe that the federal government would care for something as minor as window tints.
  13. I can't believe that we are still addressing this question. Just a simple google search typing "how to reset oil light on 2012 dodge journey" and look what was at the top of the list. We've also covered this many times in other threads. BTW welcome to the forum!!
  14. Seeing that most of these issues are coming from Brazil and your fuels are with sugarcane ethanol could it be possible that is the culprit of the P0420? You can read this for symptoms and suggested fixes. http://www.obd-codes.com/p0420 http://www.obd-codes.com/p0430
  15. So how illegal is this if they allow the tints from the factory which is pretty dark. Go take the road trip like I said and get something like 40-50% light filtration tints which is slight and no cops should hassle you as you will be fully visible. If anyone hassles you just tell them that Journey SeXT said it was okay!!
  16. Are your rear windows not tinted on the Journey?
  17. You also may want to consider having your DJ towed to the dealership (use your roadside assistance) if you think it is a safety hazard to drive. Get it repaired under warranty then post back here what the problem and fix was so we can all learn from this issue.
  18. Plan a road trip and have it done in another state.
  19. I have the same year and model as yours and I have had zero issues with my fob. What did the dealer do "as a fix"? That info would help. BTW welcome to the forum Diane!
  20. Oh no, the Journey SE is the only model of the Journey line up that has a transmission made by another manufacturer and is known to be a guaranteed failure along with timing belt issues and oil seals that will leak within 10,000 miles....you picked the wrong model!!!! Just kidding enjoy your new ride Dee!
  21. I really don't know what to say 2late....did he miss or dismiss my post?? I'm getting no love from MrNevermind,
  22. You are aware you double posted this thread....did you read my post here? http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/6393-p2002-code-and-limp-mode/
  23. Oh, the AVP package on the US website list it only with the 2.4 engine. I see that the SE model is where you have the option of either 4 or 6 cylinder.
