  1. larryl is right. Not what I wanted to hear though. The servicing dealer say's they will have them in on monday. Unfortunately, I need to be back in St. Louis before then which means I'll be back sometime next week to return my rental and pick up the Journey. 1200 mile round trip and the cost of my rental and gas is not $ I'm happy to be spending because my nearly new Dodge took a dump on me 600 miles from home. Not to mention 2 days of my time. The new Chevy Traverse is looking better all the time.... One heads up. The service writer said there was a recall on this item. If thats true, I sure would liked to have heard about it before I headed out on a road trip with my family.
  2. Loaded the family into the car last night headed back to my folks house after a New Years Eve party and the car wouldn't start. Stick the key in the ignition and it plays dead. No dash lights at all. The car can still be remote started but can't be taken out of park in that mode. Inserting the key does nothing. It's like it's not seeing our keys. We tried both sets. I disconnected the negative battery wire in an attempt to reboot the computer and was able to remote start it again but that's all. Called roadside assistance and had it dragged up onto a flat bed with the tranny locked in park and dumped at a local dealer who is of course closed for New Years Day. I hope it's an easy fix as I need to get home to St. Louis asap. Anyone have any insight into this problem? Gordon
  3. Got the front windows tinted today. 15% to match the factory tint. Looks sweet.
  4. Update: Took the car to the dealer for service. There is a switch the reads the level of brake fluid in the system that had failed and it thought the system was low triggering the warning light. The part is on backorder so after two days they took one off a car on the dealers lot. 24 hours after picking the car up the BRAKE warning light came on again. I took it back to the dealer today and the part they had ordered for me from the first occurance has yet to arrive so the car sits at the dealer again. While I was with the service writer another Journey pulled in and I saw the owner and another service writer testing the E brake. Same problem as on mine. The service writer told me the part is unique to the Journey. Looks like Chryslers low bid vendor for these parts has bitten them (and me) in the butt. So far, the car has been in the dealers hands longer than it's been in mine so I'm not too happy right now.
  5. Less than 300 miles on our new SXT and the BRAKE warning light came on. Took it to the dealer and they had it three days. Most of the time was spent trying to get a switch that senses the brake fluid level. They ended up taking it off a car in stock and after only one day it happened again. I have an appointment to take it back in on Monday. Anyone else have this problem?
