I had a similar problem... let it sit for a few days and the battery would die.  First got a new battery, under warranty so the just gave me a new one.  Next, well sometimes the telemeterics (bluetooth and voice response) module sometimes works, sometimes don't... replaces that.  Eventually I tell them, showing the past receipts, I really want this fixed - where do I need to go?  Ok, enough ranting.

Eventually (several weeks) they discovered something wrong with the radio.  $270 fix actually.  At one point deal said they talked with (not clear on exact name) technical consultants.  The draw/drain was minimal when measured and I guess didn't calculate into a problem initially.

I had pointed out, each time I bring in it in, battery disconnected, seems like it resets.  When it becomes a problem, it gets progressively worse - takes less time to die.  There are other topics here about dead batteries with different endings.

Hi djk, Sorry to hear you are experiencing this concern, we certainly understand why this would be concerning. If you end up addressing this with your local Dodge dealer again, please let us know via PM. We'd be more than happy to provide you with an additional layer of assistance for that process.

So, just got the Journey back today. Apparently, the dealer could not find any issues with CV joints or any other steering components, besides Rack and Pinion. The unit was making internal noise while the the steering wheel was being moved left to right. The Rack and Pinion swap with cradle and wheel alignment took about 4 hours. I was charged $370 for both cradle adjustment and front and rear alignment check/adjustment. No more noise and the steering feels smooth and a little tighter. I am happy that it happened while covered by factory warranty. Still no regrets for buying it, would like to keep it that way for a while. :)

Hi HOB88, We're happy to hear that your concern has been resolved by the dealer.  Should this or any other concerns return in the future, please do not hesitate to reach out!

I got mine fixed!!! I replaced the module with a module from a salvage (parts) vehicle. The salvage guy told me his part has a different part number. I did some internet research and discovered that the salvage vehicle part number is the updated part number from my vehicle. Bought it, installed it and it works!

Hi BigBri, Glad to hear that you got this fixed.  Feel free to reach back if you need assistance with anything in the future.

My Journey threw codes the other day. P0300 and p0340 and started running rough.  I shut it off and restarted the car and it was fine for a few minutes but happened again shortly later.

I replaced the crank sensor, cleared the code and it was fine for the rest of the day. Today, same symptoms and misfires but now it’s P0365. Camshaft sensor. Coincidence?  Sign of another problem?  Ideas?

i plan to get the camshaft sensor, but I’m also worried it’s something else. On a side note, my battery needs replacing. Could this cause codes like this?

Just had the thermostat housing changed and a battery installed! That was yesterday but today when I started it up it immediately shut off again followed by a successful restart! Started and stopped it several times with no problems until I let it sit again and the process repeated itself! Any ideas?

Hey people,  Im having an issue with my 2013 DJ with the fogging up of all the windows. I turn on the defrost and it unfogs the windows a little but the side and rear windows stay foggy. Heat and temp is blowing is fine, I have checked to see if the HVAC drain was plugged up and it was fine, I can't see any water leaking inside the cabin so I don't think there is a heatercore leak. Sometimes i do smell a funny musty smell when I change over from defrost. It is not coolent that I'm smelling, I know what that smells like. It's like water is somehow in the vent system and causing the fogging, It's just like a heatercore problem but I dont smell any coolent.  Any idea's??  Thanks

We have a 2015 Journey RT with a sunroof. After heavy rainfall there is a leak coming from the heating vent just behind the sunroof. I have performed the drain test for each corner on the sunroof and the water runs out from the back of the front wheel well which tells me drainage is good.

    Any ideas?

I own a 2009 Dodge Journey RT and recently started having a lot of thick white smoke coming from my engine. When I Stop it get worse at a light. It is starting to loosen the seal of my front window and coming between the seal and the window. It is mainly on the right passenger side and when I open the hood I can not locate where the smoke is coming from. I recently replaced my thermostat thinking that was the problem and it stopped for about a week and now I am back to square one. Has anyone had this issue and what was the problem? Thank you for your help! I’m a single mom and can’t afford to pay a ton to have someone replace a bunch of parts and it not fix it. Thank you for all your help!

    Hi Rob,

Not sure what additional support you can give me. As we both can see this has happened to other people. What I'm looking for is someone that's had it done that can tell me roughly how much it costs. The job's not going to be free, dealer or not. they have to take the dash apart to replace it and I'm guessing the radio itself will be a couple of hundred bucks. What I don't want to hear is that it's one of stupid jobs where because they replace the radio they have to replace something else like the computer and it ends up costing $2500. It's extremely unlikely the dealership is going to give me an accurate quote beforehand, not unless they've done a lot of these jobs and if it's a big price they're sure as hell not going to tell me.

    Hi gdos,

Your sentiments expressed here are certainly understandable, however as our dealers are independently owned they have the ability to set their own procedures.  With this in mind, they will be in the best position to walk through the specifics of the estimate with you. I sincerely apologize that we are not able to assist further with your inquiry.

I'm having the same trouble with my 2013 Journey, I turn the vehicle off and open the door and everything turns off except the radio which goes into zombie mode. The radio still plays but all the display lights are off and none of the controls (volume, on/off, etc.) work. So it makes sense it's the radio, most of the radio is turning off, just not all of it. Has anyone had this repair done outside of a warranty? How much does it cost? Is it just the radio that has to be replaced or are there integrated components that make the repair costs much greater than you would expect?

So... I have had the worst time ever with my 2011 Dodge Journey Mainstreet. After almost THREE months of trying to figure out why it wouldn't stop boiling over, we FINALLY got it figured out. Now we have yet another issue. I woke up this morning for work and remote started my car. When I walked out, the car was off. I got into the car and started it. Within five minutes of driving down the road, the check engine light comes on. I look down and realize I am driving 58MPH with my RPM's at 2000-2500. I pulled over, turned off the car, turned it on and started driving again. It did it again. I put the gas pedal to the floor, it slowing was speeding up but the RPM's were not moving. So I then put the car in neutral and back into drive, RPM's still didn't move. I put the car down into the "manual" mode, shifted up to "6", put it back in drive and it drove fine. On my way home, once I got into "4" I hit the gas... NOTHING. So, I shifted it myself again. Oil PSI at a rest 20-30. While driving 50-60. I have no idea what could be causing this. P06DD was the code when it was scanned (I believe). What could this be? I am going to start with an oil change this week and then go from there. Should I buy an oil pressure sensor and replace that? I am stuck on this one.

    Hi ALLIEM,

We sincerely regret to hear of the trouble that has been associated with your transmission. To clarify, have you had a chance to address this concern with your dealer?

I am currently having the same problem with my 2015 Dodge Journey. The fob works, the inside buttons work but the passive entry exterior door buttons don't.  Mine stopped working and then came back a few days later but eventually stopped working permanently (it has been months). I am not auto savvy and don't know how to do some of the things that are suggested above.

I am having such a hard time trying to figure this one out. I got the Code P0732(Gear 2 incorrect ratio) about 3 weeks ago. It stayed on for 2 days and it went away. I have never experienced any slipping or anything like that. Today on my way home it turned on again. This time i was going up a slight hill and felt a sudden stutter. There are no other codes coming  out but that one. Ive done research and that code usually appears with other codes. The Journey drives perfectly fine. Im thinking maybe its the cold weather? Im so confused. Any suggestions would help. Thank you.

They came on every once in a while but now they flash on more often. i am stopped and foot is on the brake when they flash on. Now that it is colder it is flashing on more often and sometimes when i am not even touching the brake.

I thought it just might be the sensor going and it thinks i am rolling (i am no professional)
