  1. Same question as above. The drain tubes run right down the front pillar. Just before I took mine into the shop AGAIN for a leaky sunroof I noticed water on the lower kick panel and door jamb. Could be the drain hose has a hole in it.

    tire removal

Hopefully by now she has the tire off. The rim has probably siezed onto the brake disc hat. Usually you hear of this on cars that have not had the tire off in a long time. Here are a couple things that can help. Hit the tire with a rubber hammer while the car is jacked up to try to break it loose. Be carefull incase the car rolls off the jack. The possibility is there, the car could be lifted at a slight angle. Every precaution should be taken. If that doesn't work this one is a little more aggressive. Put one or two of the lugnuts on and drive the vehicle about 5 foot or so to try to use the cars weight to break the rim loose.
  3. I haven't put mine to a real test, such as on an incline. But mine seems ok. Although I hardly use mine.
  4. Glad yours was fixed. So far the work done on my car has been the drain hose TSB. And when they performed that they found a blockage in the drain hose. Installed two sunroof gaskets. Replaced the the headliner once and now have a second one to put in. The alignment was checked a couple times and it is within spec. I personally saw them check it and have a copy of what the alignment should be. Plus they have put in a whole new sunroof assembly. I know a bodyshop guy and he said he could fix it for me by replacing the roof with no sunroof. WOW! Really extreme but it would work. LOL. One of the things that bugged me was the drain tube deal. That will not fix the water coming into the vehicle. They need to focus on stopping the water not the drainage system.
  5. One of the gripes I also have currently is there is usually a waiting list for parts. Not just the Journey but the whole Dodge line-up. The dealer has had my car for almost two weeks. Waiting on parts. They have the headliner taken out and will be replacing everything that is related to the sunroof. Other problems with mine is the crossbars on the roof rack. When I slide the rear bar all the way to the back it becomes very tight. It spread the rails out a little bit. Also had a supposed loose screw that cut a wire and disabled all video. On the bright side. I like how it rides. Could be a little firmer for me. Still very good. A set of different springs would take care of that. The Journey fits our family needs perfect.
  6. Might want to check your local laws. As far as I know it is illegal to have your high beams and foglights on at the same time. Why that is I have no idea.
  7. No stats here. But I would say that is normal. Now if it got into the 220-230 range I would be concerned with that.
  8. So nobody else has the plastic drip pan along the back of the sunroof?
  9. I am in the same boat as you are. Mine has almost 9k miles. But I drive with a heavy foot sometimes
  10. I spent hours upon hours and it still doesn't work That there is some funny stuff Sad thing is it is not that far off.
  11. I have purchased a few items from Avondale Dodge and they sell for wholesale. Very good customer service. Might be able to get them cheaper here. http://www.avondaleauto.com/ou/avondale-dodge/
  12. I don't see too many of them around here either. But I have seen more of them on the road than when I first got mine. I have only seen about four running around town. Hell I think I saw more Challengers on the road on their first production year run.
  13. I have been dealing with my sunroof leaking water and staining my headliner since March of this year. I finally got a Chrysler rep to take a look at the car to get it fixed. Sounds like they are going to replace every single part involved with the sunroof and drainage system, including a new headliner. Which will be the second one they have changed. The dealer has had my car for over a week and I am guessing they are waiting on parts. Which sounds like it could be a long time before they get all the parts. Back to my original subject. Those that have sunroofs. Do you have a a plastic tray in the back of the sunroof to catch any water that might drip into the interior? Mine does not have one installed and it is one of the parts they will be putting in. And if they don't get my car fixed the Journey will be going bye-bye and get lemoned out. That is what I want to do with it. Of course I see it being a long road ahead of me for that option. Car manufactures can never own up and say they had a bad car come out of their factory and drag things out.
  14. You can use a heat gun. Get it nice and warm and it should pop off. It is attached with double sided tape. If there is some tape left on the body use some 3M adheasive remover to get the rest off. That is how I did mine. Or you could use fishing line and saw the tape off. But then you have more of the tape still on the body and will require more work.

    Aussie Journey

Welcome to the club Nice pic. Thanks for sharing.
  16. Price lowered to $25k or best offer.
  17. Not to sure how that will fly. LOL. It is mainly her car. The bad thing is she is a smoker too. But I did smoke in her last car and she did not know about it. Hehe
  18. Any local autoparts store should be able to hook you up.

    nice feature

Welcome to the Club Someone else has posted about the nifty window trick. Always good to have a refresher course for the newbies.
  20. Does not happen with mine. Could be a brake caliper sticking for a little bit. Odd it only happens in reverse. Hope it is an easy fix for you.
  21. I had the burning smell for a little bit too. Smelled like an oil leak. Real faint smell and was gone fast once the motor was shut off. No recent oil changes had been done and no visible leaks to my eyes. So it wasn't any spilled oil from an oil change. By the time I was able to get it to the dealer the smell dissapeared. It has not come back yet.
  22. I like to use Meguires stuff too. For the shifter use some compressed air first to blow out any excess dust. Step two spray some interior cleaner (Meguire for me) and let it soak for a little bit. Step 3: Use compressed air again to get rid of the excess. Don't forget to move the shifter it get all of it. If you don't have access to an air compressor with a small blow out nozzle, a can of keyboard cleaner should work. Never tried the keyboard cleaner, but I think it will work.
