  1. Haven't seen them either. I don't like them myself. But that is just my personel preference. All that matters is if you like them
  2. Welcome to the Club I really like the wood dash/trim kits myself. I think they look really sharp. Got any pics of it? I haven't had the chance to do mine yet.
  3. Welcome to the Club
  4. Welcome to the Club Sorry I am no help on the transmission. Is it a 6 speed auto. The V-6 comes with a 6 speed.

    2009 Red R/T

First off Welcome to the club I have the same problems. The last fix was a new seal and it is the best it has been. It still leaks. Seems like some leakage is considered acceptable to them. My service manager does not agree with this as well as me. Still waiting on what Dodge is going to do. I still need my headliner replaced. It has already been done once. Below is the thread I have on it. Best of luck to you. I have not had much luck and with all the mayhem going on at headquarters, getting problems handled will be even more difficult. http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/index.php?showtopic=571
  7. Welcome to the Club I hope you enjoy many Journeys in your Journey!

    New Owner Today

    Welcome to the club
  9. Good looking PT. I can see lots of work has went into it. Them PT have quite the following!
  10. Nah thats just the shadow making it hard to see the tread LOL. But they are worn down more than the front . I haven't rotated them. Afterall it is a hot rod pickup and I drive it The bottom pic is with my racing tires on. Not gonna lie. I have taken it down the quarter mile track. To me well taken care means all service has been maintained And it is very clean!
  11. Trying to sell my truck. It is a 2005 Dodge Ram SRT-10 Quad Cab with a 8.3 L V-10 500 Horsepower all aluminum Viper motor(same one in the cars), 4 speed Automatic, Rare truck, Sunroof, Leather interior with Suede inserts, Fastest production pickup built, Around 3500 Quad Cabs built in 2005. Only 777 in the color Red. Very well taken care of. Asking $28K Has 19,8XX miles.
  12. No problem. And another trick I think will work when installing the tape kind is spray some soapy water on the surface the tape will be sticking too. The reason for this is once the tape touches the metal it will be stuck there. Soapy water should let you be able to adjust the fitment without major issues. Eventually the water will evaporate and you will still have a good bond. Window tinters use this method and I think it should work the same for the windor visors. Next time I install some I am going to try it out.
  13. Mid grade for me too. With today's electronics I really don't think using a lower octane fuel will permantley damage the motor. I am not a mechanic, but this is how I understand how it works. I think most if not all modern engines (especialy high performance) have a knock sensor installed. It will prevent premature detenation and pinging in the cylinder. Detonation is very bad. It causes more heat and could result in the rod punching a hole in your block. Otherwise known as a window in your block. Detonation is caused by improper fuel octane or poorly tuned engine (air fuel ratio). I am sure there are probably other things too. These appear to be the major causes. The knock sensor will pull timing or fuel or both from the motor to prevent premature detonation. Again this is my best understanding of this. Maybe someone with more knowledge on the matter can chime in and agree or correct me on the matter. Using a lower grade should not be a problem. But I would prefer to use the manufactures recomendation. It really is not that big of a difference on cost. I can't quite remember the fuel tank capacity. I think it is 21 gallons. Gas price difference is around .10 cents per gallon. Current gas prices for me are $2.39 for the cheap stuff and $2.49 for mid-grade. For 21 gallons of fuel to fill up is $50.19 and $52.19 respectfully. If you drive 10K miles @ 20 mpg consumption the cost difference is $50 dollars. Not worth the cost for me to use the cheap stuff.

    Shiny Wheels

When I had chrome rims on a previous ride I would use glass cleaner(the stuff that had a little foam to it, 3M product) to maintain the shine. Worked good for me. This car did not put out a lot of brake dust.
  15. Welcome to the Club I think the car could use a little more pep IMO. When I took mine on I15 in Utah I had the RPM's around 5k to maintain speed But I had 5 people in the car and loaded with luggage and doing 90 :o and getting about 19 mpg. I usually get 22-24 hwy mpg. I would feel more comfortable with some more passing power on the highway for me. Even when it is not loaded down it could use some more get up and go
  16. Mine are made by Ventshade. It seems like it helps with the windnoise when the window is cracked. I haven't put them on the Journey. The ones I have are on my pick-up. The main reason for me having them is when it is raining and the window is cracked open a little bit for a cigarette the water would drip into the interior. Now it doesn't. The Girlfriend won't let me smoke in the Journey.
  17. Update: Got the car back and so far the screens are working. Apparently a screw had come loose or something and damaged a cord.
  18. Dang you are having some bad luck with your car :o I doubt it was a fluke. Hopefully it threw a code the dealer can retrieve it to figure out what happened. The really bad thing is if it happens again the dealer will be closed(business hours). Then you could take it to them while it was doing it. So they would not think you are full of it. I had a truck that blew out hot air on the passenger side and cold air on the driver side. Both sides were set to cold. Dealer couldn't figure it out. By the time I got it to the dealer the first few times it had already fixed itself. They told me to bring it in next time it happens to get a better idea of how to fix it. I got rid of the truck shortly afterwards. Wonder if our cars were built on the same day :D
  19. The Journey did very well on my road trip as well. We put on a little over 2000 miles on that trip.
  20. Fired up the Journey and the screen was blank, no DVD, and no back-up camera. Still had sound all other controls seemed to work. DVD player still works but the flip down screen is also blank. I can hear the movie just can't see it. Hopefully a new radio will fix this. Car goes in on Tuesday.
  21. Wow is all I can say. My radio just lost all screens. No DVD, Navigation or backup camera. I hope mine does not end up like yours. Did you finally get a fix for it?
