Check ALL rubber cooling system hose clamps. IF they are the "spring tension" type and not a screw type, there is every possibility that one or more have actually cracked or broken. This lets coolant "leak away" while parked SLOWLY. The clamp MAY seem tight but a good visual inspection is what's needed to find a broken spring tension clamp. I recently bought a Buick Lucerne CHEAP from a constant coolant loss that turned out to be a broken clamp of this type for the lower rad hose to radiator connection. By design of the car a mirror was needed to see the break on the bottom of the clamp, opposite of the "tabs" to squeeze the clamp open.

it could also be a cracked coolant reservoir tank, next time parking it put some paper down so you can see where it is dripping from as well,, also you could get the system pressure checked

Hi all, it's been a while since I've posted anything here. I am still a very happy Journey owner. Washed and detailed it today and it's sitting in my driveway looking beautiful. Eight years and 140,000 miles, and the car has been superb. We had a major collision late in 2014 at 30K miles when a young driver blew a red light and destroyed the whole front end of the car. It was repaired properly and 110K miles later, the car has had very few issues. The Radio Frequency Hub began intermittently dropping phone connectivity and was replaced. I had a bad temperature door actuator for the rear heater, and the usual P0128 thermostat rationality that affects nearly every 3.6 ever built. The important thing is that the car has never once left my wife stranded anywhere, and it remains quiet, comfortable and economical. It could now use a set of shocks - the body motions are not as controlled as they used to be. I went 110K miles on the original rear brakes. Three years after the last payment, we have no intention to get rid of it anytime soon. She loves the car as do I. My kids are out of the house now but our yellow lab goes everywhere in it with us. If I had to replace it tomorrow, I'd be disappointed that I couldn't buy another new one.

Here's a shot in the driveway from two years ago with the coffin up top getting ready to help move my oldest son home from college.

If the tires are in decent shape bead sealer should last a few years.

Here in the salt belt the rims get pitted from corrosion, mainly with aluminum rims.
Fixing with bead sealer usually holds a few years until tires are worn out anyway.
Soapy water spray on the tire usually helps figure out where leak is.

Newer tires seem to wear out faster anyway; if they aren’t cracked to hell or tread gone at 5-6 years you are lucky.
DOT code on sidewall will tell you week and year of manufacture; important tire info.

Tire shop can use a wire wheel and remove the corrosion back to bare material.
A heavy coat of good bead sealer will fix leak for quite a while. Tire shops do this all the time.

If the rim has impact damage that is leaking; you will need another rim. Steel sometimes fixable but not aluminum.

I started this thread , and if you read all of the posts , you will see that my starting issues were due to a faulty connector at the starter . Hope it helps some out there . I had the connector replaced , no issues since ( at least not with that )

Not sure either but just took it to the Dodge dealer last week I explained what was already done so I didn't get double dippedfucked they said they found a couple lose wires and jumped it saying battery .....lmao I had 2 batteries put it from the previous mechanic! Hunted down where he got the last battery under warranty after the Dodge dealer put in a new ignition switch recall didn't fix the problem ....the advanced auto parts store called the everyone finally went to pick up battery to see if it was theirs tested battery and it was good after dodge dealer said it was bad ...he replaced battery even though .....took it to the dealer and blah blah blah same story it starts and I said everytime it gets worked on in starts for a few weeks then the same one click no start...$815, $500, $270 new key fob, new ignition recall (with 2 new key fobs) $235 at dodge dealer it still sits there since I don't trust it after they think they fixed it but remember dodge said the battery was bad and advance auto said it was good a July 2020 battery that they replaced anyway for good faith!!!!!

My camera works while the lift gate is up, but when down, it's either black or black with red squibbly lines. Is it more a camera issue or wiring issue?

check the wiring in the upper left hand side of the hatch they have broken wires found there before, that said my 2014 acts up as well either completely black or black with the warning at the top or sometimes image upside down then readjust and then normal. or sometimes it works just fine. havent had time to take it to a dealer to get it fixed just waiting for it to go out completely. hope you find out what it is please report back on what you find out for others with this problem

We use our 2010 DJ R/T 3.5L engine to tow our small 14' travel trailer (2290 lbs.) We put most of our cargo in the car.
We had U Haul install a hitch with brake controller.
We added a weight distribution hitch and has been the key to safe handling.
Just don't push it up steep grades!
P.S. Our DJ came with a trans cooler, so I'm sure that helps too.

At that weight you should be fine (guessing you have the  2.4). I would also suggest when coming back down the hill to use the Auto Stick function to control your speed. If the hills are curvy, use the function going up as well.

Thanks. Just curious. Recently traded in my pick-up for a Journey. Have a 16' Tracker boat that I have yet to pull. Weight of the boat is around 1400 lbs...Tongue weight about 120 lbs, so shouldn't be a problem. Got the tow/hitch from, and installed by, Uhaul. Just a little nervous, even though all the specs say everything should be more than fine.

What speeds were you able to do up the steeper hills? What RPM were you at on those hills?
