I know just what you mean... If it wasn't for the Dodge forum, looking for tires, and worrying about fishing this weekend, I wouldn't have a thing to do this morning.

No idea at all. When the internet fails you, pick up the phone and call to ask them directly.

Your tire size is listed on the drivers side door jamb label. Just get the same size tire. No issues regardless if they specifically say it fits your particular vehicle.

i was told if you upgrade stay with an even number size wheel that the tires for those are a lot more reasonable .yea theses 19 look good but can get expensive, id say i saved about $ 300-350 when i bought them thur discount tire compared to the local tire stores

Can't help with the first issue. Key prices are going to be all over, just like you found out.Just know that where ever you get it from, it will need to be programmed be the dealer or a competent locksmith, and do not buy a used key. From what I've heard once they are programmed for one car they cannot be reprogrammed for another car. If I am wrong, one of the smarter folks here will correct me.

A little helpful hint for those who seem to have issues even after replacing the bulbs . So I replaced the bulb  several times in my back left reverse tail light with no success. On the rear door on the upper left hinge there is a cased wiring which feeds the back door panel. Pull back on the protective casing and look at wiring. In my case there where 4 wires broken . These wires are colour coded and should be easy to strip back and add a splice  in. Hope this helps people save money. Not the most attractive fix but efficient.

Another perfect reason I like this site, helpful hints that will inevitably save someone time and money.

yes... just google curt hitches and determine if you have reg or led taillights then order it  will cost you less than the factory... there are videos on  youtube showing how to install the wiring....

Hello everyone. Just took over a 2014 Journey SE from the wife. She wanted to move on to something else so i got the Dodge. I have just been looking for as much info as possible on the Journey. Not really sure what I want to do if anything, but it's nice to know your options. Well, I would like to upgrade the radio from the 4.3 to the 8.4 and put fog lights in, but both seem to be more trouble than they are worth, maybe I am reading wrong, who knows....

I will say, looking around online at different vendors, just a few recognize the SE with the V6, almost all default to the 4 cyl and you cannot change it. Most times I just pick a model with the V6 and move along, but it is a little irritating to see that be the norm rather than the exception.

if you use the factory wiring you will have to have it flashed at the dealership....if you use the curt wiring kit that is all you have to do.

You need to enable the wiring harness to power the trailer lights,.

Curious if you ever got your hitch installed, and if it worked out for the trailer you were thinking? Installed the Curt hitch and wiring harness on mine and worked out great. Did have to get a receiver with a 2.5" lift in order for the hitch to be level for your average trailer. It seems that the hitch on the DJ is a little low.

i think if you use the curt electrical wiring kit you wont have to get it flashed at the dealership and the curt hitch goes on easy.

3.6L 6-cylinder, AWD. Nothing in the build listing shows anything for towing, but the added optional equipment for my VIN shows the engine oil cooler and "trailer sway damping".

The 2274 is the max weight for the trailer, the actual unloaded weight is 1608. We don't plan on packing much in it and won't be using the fresh water tank (at least on the first road trip, we will mostly be sticking to parks with hookups).

    4 or 6cyl?
The build code should tell you if it has the towing option which included the cooler and harness?
If it did then you buy the hitch and its an easy install but the dealer may need to flash the computer.
A 4cyl engine will work much harder than the 6

We purchased a used fleet vehicle, 2014 Journey Limited. I see nothing on the original window paper about towing. We are looking into purchasing a pop-up camper (Flagstaff 206LTD, GVWR 2274) but I need to get a hitch and harness installed. After reading on these forums I'm concerned that this vehicle needs more than just the physical hitch but also re-programming and possibly an add-on engine cooler?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: So it looks like I already have the engine oil cooler, according to my VIN-specific equipment listing. My understanding is that the transmission cooler is standard. I'm thinking at this point that the Curt class III along with the wiring harness and a possible flash of the computer and I should be good to go.

Yeah, I agree, it does have a lot of hurdles involved. I know the dealer route is probably the safest but I am just so friggin cheap when it comes to putting money into anything other than my hobbies that the $1300 plus labor sounds like it not happening. The fog lights definitely sound more doable for me, heck once I look into it a little more it may be something I could do myself.
