  1. There are no stored codes. My mechanic said there "may" be an issue with the wires that are connected to the hubs or bearings (k I'm not that savvy on this stuff) which has a sensor for shit like abs and slipping. He said it could be this potentially. Car has 78,000km on it. What is wierd when this happens the car will slow faster than when its not doing the wierd thing and pulls to the right or left a bit. I believe it had something to do with the brakes based on this but all the rotors seem usual not like they've been running so hot and have marks on them or are warping. I tried to recreate it today so I could drive by him and show him but it wouldn't freaking do it today! It has a mind of its own. this isn't a misfire I know what that feels like. I don't think it's tranny I threw it in neutral actually the other I stalled the car, let it coast in neutral for a min then started it and back to drive and the problem didn't go away.
  2. Re read my symptoms. After I pass over a bump this happens and only after the vehicle has been driven for a while (20 minutes and more) at which point it's all warm and cozy. If it was front end parts like tie rods or ball joints it would be a constant shake.... obviously. Furthermore all this has been inspected by both my mechanic and another. Front end is tight!
  3. It isn't that all those parts are tight. I suspect bearing sensor maybe but I don't know...
  4. Hey everyone. I've got an issue and I'd like some input. I'm starting to lean on the idea of this having to do with abs or that anti slip thing on my 14 journey. It's driving me nuts and I've had my mechanic rip all four wheels and brakes and calipers 6 times now and no luck. 6 TIMES! So my car starts a pretty rough and obvious shake whilet I drive, normally after driving for a while. The issue happens usually when I'm going around a bend and if for some reason I haopen to hit some road hazard (train tracks, crack, etc) it starts this rough shake. I used to think i had a siezed caliper but none of rotors are stained with any sort of heat wear. I've never had a light. If I go home and stop the car for a while like a couple hours then it runs fine until I drive a whole and a small bump sets it off again but if I drive and stop the car wait a few minutes and then go back out the problem is still there. I think if the car is still hot the problem doesn't go away. I think I threw it into neutral once before and the problem never went away. Hopefully someone might have any suggestions as I'm about to bring it back to my mechanic and I want this fixes finally!
  5. Hello - I have a new dodge journey sxt (2014) we bought in November. I installed a hitch myself (which is too easy) and realized that there is a plug under the rear bumper to stick in an "OEM" harness to get the 4-way plug. I purchased it from the dealer the other day ($128.00 plus taxes). They told me that if I installed it myself, there is no refund of warranty. I went under the car, and could not even get my thick hand in the area to remove the protective plug to even attempt to plug in the harness. Anyway, I paid the dealer today to put it in for me (40 bucks in and out in less than half hour) but I had my wife go and get it done. I come home tonight and give her a test - I have several light testers and even a volt meter. Plugged it into BOTH of my known working boat traielrs - nada. Not even a climps of a volt going through this newly installed brand new harness. I'm a bit pissed off that these guys probably did not even TEST the freakin' thing, but I'm starting to wonder - since this is a new car, would the computer have anything to do with this not working? Like it's brand new - the car is new, the wiring is new.... do they need to turn this on in the computer? Any info would be greatly appreciated! also, I the LED tail lights - which probably doesn't matter unless you're putting in an after market wiring harness.
