Hit-By-Thunder
looks finished now. Same here, on the "to do list" Rob
Booker T
Love it. Had this on my truck and now that I ahve seen it on your Journey, I'm definitely getting that done. Thanks for posting the price you paid...this will help figure out where to go.
wyoram
Looks good. I just had mine done recently. I put 30% on mine. I would have liked to go to 15% to match but it would have been too dark for the girlfriend.

crunkfrunk
I wish I could put 15% on the front to match the backs but in Ohio the darkest you can go is 50% on the front sides
WOLF
Good job you are not in the UK, as the law states only a max of "A2" tint allowed on front side windows... which is what the car comes with!!!!
miller7428
Got the front windows tinted today. 15% to match the factory tint. Looks sweet. I also tinted my windows at 20% to match the back!!!!
CountryGirl2
We had ours tinted already too as we can't stand clear windows, we also put on a dark tinted air deflector for our sunroof. Bought factory mudflaps (EBAY), also a custom made windshield cover (EBAY) it's cool, it fits so close to the window and puppy likes it too. LOL
SQUARETOWN JOURNEY
GET ON EBAY AND BUY YOUR SELF THE CHROME ACCENTS FOR THE BLACKED OUT DOOR PILLARS.....IT WILL MAKE YOUR WINDOWS POP EVEN MORE.....AND THEY ARE REASONABLE PRICE. email4walker
Question: Thought about after market tinting my windows, but does it last in the long run? In about 5+ years, will it start to show air bubbles and peel? I have seen some tint jobs start bubbling and peeling after a few years, but I don't know if it was done at home or professional. Has any one had tinting done before on their car before and can say what will happen in the long run (5+ yrs)? Thanks
dhh3
I wanted to do mine, but it is against the law in Indiana. Hopefully, I can find someone who will do this for me.
bigtsr
I had my Caliber done by Ziebart and after 5 years it looked as good as new, self installs are often a disaster.
2late4u
my 2001 truck still looks good no bubbles and no peeling or scratches.guess it depends on quality of the products and install, one thing i didn't think much of i used reg windex for a while which is a big no no and some of the windows have a slight color change but that was my fault.....also raising and lowering windows in a dusty area will produce scratches as my daughters postal caravan right window is scratched real bad due to the sand or dust. bigtsr
Yes on some earlier brands of tint film ammonia would have an effect on colorization.

dhh3
Plan a road trip and have it done in another state. I could still be stopped for having it done. Same if tail lights are tinted too dark.

dhh3
All the windows are tinted from the factory except the driver's door and front passenger door, I would like the front doors to match the rest of my DJ.
bigtsr
The only model sold without "sunscreen tint" in Canada is the Canada Value Package. However if you check the actual windows out in bright sun you will see a slight UV tint to all glass used.
Journey_SeXT
All the windows are tinted from the factory except the driver's door and front passenger door, I would like the front doors to match the rest of my DJ. So how illegal is this if they allow the tints from the factory which is pretty dark. Go take the road trip like I said and get something like 40-50% light filtration tints which is slight and no cops should hassle you as you will be fully visible. If anyone hassles you just tell them that Journey SeXT said it was okay!! dhh3
dhh3
Indiana has a lot of stupid laws concerning cars/trucks, but I highly doubt that they are all enforced. I'm still considering the tint. Edited December 27, 2014 by dhh3 Journey_SeXT
