    Indeed, you are "average"... Ha!
I guess my point was that audiophiles (or even audio enthusiasts) usually pick up on small nuances in the staging, clarity and overall sound quality more so than the "average" listener. I wouldn't put myself in either of those categories, but do enjoy upgrades that offer an improved audio experience as I enjoy listening to my music as it was recorded...something you just aren't going to get out of any oem sound system. That being said, it does not sound bad at all.

If your radio sounds decent, and this only does this with CDs, the laser may be going out. The factory speakers are crap paper. I switched my 4 door speakers for 6x9 Alpines. According to Crutchfield, no one makes a replacement for the dash speakers, so I left them as is.
If it it the laser, check out oemautoparts.com. They specialize in Mopar radios; some are brand new dealer takeouts. They bench test every radio they sell, update it to the most current software, and replace the screen if there are any marks. Great prices and great people to work with

Where there is a will, there is a way... I don't see why you couldn't add it to the passenger side as well. You'll just want to make sure that any wires that are exposed in order to get them into the cushion are protected sufficiently. Over time they could wear out from opening and closing the seat...

Sounds like you got your answer, but yes, the powertrain warranty should transfer... Let us know what you find out. A better description of the issue may be beneficial to others in the future as well.

Every time I go to that site it is loaded with cheap Chinese garbage... Is it really worth taking another look, or just more of the same?

I agree with everyone else... I have the 4 cylinder in my Avenger and it is sufficient for that, but I have the V6 on the Journey and wouldn't even consider the 4.

I wouldn't say that they sound "great", but they should be sufficient for the average listener...

Should sound even better from a CD... Definitely check out the speakers... You can replace them with low wattage aftermarket speakers for a reasonable price that will sound better even if they are good... Can't hurt.

Mine does not display these characteristics at all... Perhaps someone blew the speakers before you got the vehicle? The satellite is "tinny" sometimes, but I have never heard anything that I would describe as "absolute garbage" come through my speakers (unless the wife is listening to her music, ha!). I have the 8.4 if that matters...

I wouldn't say that mine shifts "smoothly", but it certainly doesn't clunk or surge... Perhaps the way I drive is suited for this transmission?? It is a topic that I see a lot though, so you are not alone.
I do occasionally notice a clunk from 2nd to 3rd when driving down my drive to the street... About the time I get ready to apply the brakes, the vehicle is ready to shift into 3rd. Sometimes it will shift up when I am no longer accelerating and give a light "clunk"... It is definitely not something that happens all the time though and I am able to control whether or not it happens.

Yeah... you could do it either way, but since the battery is a pain to get to you can just use the jumper terminals on the shock tower (that's why they put them there).
EDIT: Make sure you are connected positive to positive and negative to negative!! Turn on the unit AFTER it is connected.

I would google your specific model for exact directions, but you basically put the positive wire on the jump (+) terminal and the negative on the negative terminal on the driver's side shock tower.
Obviously your heated seats should have nothing do with your dead battery (unless they are aftermarket and were installed wrong), so your "dealer" is clearly full of morons. Take it to a good shop and find out where the parasitic draw is coming from. A reputable shop should be able to hunt it down for you.

Lobitz68 reacted to Johnson in 4.3s to 8.4 Uconnect and Backup Camera installed
Well, I finally upgraded my 2014 SXT. I took out the 4.3s and installed the RE2 receiver, the 8.4" screen, the new bezel, and the lower stack. I also installed the factory backup camera as well. The receiver, screen, lower stack, and bezel were pretty straightforward and easy to install. '14 Charger receiver, '13 Journey screen, '14 Journey bezel, and '11? I think, lower stack. I included some pictures below of some things I hadn't seen others include as far as how to remove the trim and whatnot. My wife and I really enjoy the upgrade, makes the interior feel much less "base package" and more complete. I, like others, haven't fixed the temperature controls on the screen but I haven't given up yet. I've talked with guys from my dealer and realized they're not going to be much help as this is the first radio they have even unlocked. Thanks to this forum I had more information than they did. I've talked with Uconnect who did not have info for me, and talked with Dodge corporate and they referred me to a larger dealer in the area but I haven't gotten a hold of them yet.
I played with the controls and found that when I "sync" the temps, the front and back hvac behave as one. That's nice as we have small kids in the back. If the knobs in the back are turned then the sync is broken and the rear acts independently. It also seems that even though the sliders on the climate screen maintain the nefarious "22 degrees" mark, if you slide them up or down it seems to lock that temperature in even though the slider moves back to the middle a few seconds later. The satellite radio still worked fine, so the free subscription apparently didn't get kicked back.
The dealer charged me for 1 hour labor for the combined unlock code and flashing the backup camera. Like I said above, this was the first one they've done. I had all the info they needed (even though they didn't know they needed it) thanks to this forum.
I bought the backup camera from the dealer (they were able to have it the next day). It came with detailed instructions that, at times, were not completely accurate as it was written in 2011. It was pretty involved to install - let's say it's not for the faint of heart. I took some pictures of that process that I've included below as well. You really do have to remove quite a bit of trim and one of the rear seats (If you have the third row). It's definitely doable if you're handy though, and I learned a lot about the car while doing it. I fished the wires a couple of times so that is one thing I would recommend if you're planning on doing it. My wife and I REALLY enjoy having it. The blind spot behind the car is especially bad without the camera if you have a car seat in the third row.
I couldn't figure out how to insert larger pictures....
