TPM module  NOT the TIPM module    two totally different  modules  and    NO they are not GOOD ,,,,,,,  the tpms module is remembering the last position and giving false readings, I just went Thru what you are experiencing  6 months ago on my 2014 crossroad   was about to give up on it and not bother to fix it and the wife wasn't happy with that,  so I went to my tire shop and they messed with it a while and then said well the batteries are going bad and I had them replaced cost me around $300 parts and labor for 4 new sensors if I remember correctly,,,, and THAT fixed my problem,,,the TPM module is in your rear left wheel well above the top of the tire well

Not really. Like OP said,  scanning is only way to know for sure.  The tpms have a built in lithium battery that gets weak over time/miles.  Some  times the weaker battery will be strong enough to get picked up if it’s moved closer to receiver to pick up radio frequency output signal.  Antenna is in lower dash or A pillar I think,  shouldn’t have seen glycol.  Your failure may have just been a coincidence when oil cooler puked.

With balancing cost etc people often opt for new sensors when installing new tires. Lots of aftermarket cheap sensors from Rockauto etc.   Some people pop the bead and pull through a new sensor without removing tire or balancing.

the 8.4 uconnect is not a standard radio.  The screen you see is literally just a flat screen.   The actual radio is buried deep underneath the climate knobs.   The actual size is also way bigger than the standard 2 din from the 2010 DJ.

There are many reasons, Sadly the main issues are likely due to the increased cost to make the Journey Compliant with the DOT towing requirements which changed in 2010 to better reflect real driving.

The 2008-2010 Journey had 3500lb towing.
The 2011-2021 has 2500lbs towing, despite being the exact same Car/Architecture*/frame.

Pre 2010: DOT tow rating measurements were very sketchy. Manufactures would take their least equipped, but highest tow rated trim, put a 80lb test driver, new pads, brakes, no luggage, minimal fuel, and would conduct their towing tests to get the ratings. This is why before 2010, every car/sedan/prius/honda fit has a rated tow weight.
POST 2010: DOT requires real world testing: Now all ratings are done with 2 humans (200lbs each) and 100 lbs of luggage in the trunk, full tank of fuel. The criteria for handling and stopping distance changed too. For whatever reason, the Grand Caravan survived these new tests, and retained it's rating.

The summary is that the Dodge Journey failed to meet the requirements, and the cost to make the dodge compliant isn't worth it to FCA. Instead; Just reduce the rated towing in the manual and call it a day. Saves money and headache.

    The reality is:
You /CAN/ tow much more with the Journey. People do it all the time and say it's fine. Just get a torsion hitch, brake controller, and don't drive like an idiot.

mine wasnt factory but you use a spring the screws onto the bolt thread then pulled thur the hole by a string or wire ;like shown in the video,,are using the oem wires for power i used the wiring kit and went to the battery up front ,,,if you use the factory oem wiring you will have to get the sales code authorized thur the local dealership before it will work

You stated that there is a liked by you TIRE SHOP nearby. GO TO THEM and have them scan each wheel position to check each sensor in each wheel. This is the cheapest and easiest thing to start diagnosing this problem.`2 years old and sensors are OLD and usually only good for around 8 years IF YOU ARE LUCKY.. As I said, FIRST place to start then dig deeper.

Is it the orange coolant or has it been switched to green.  The two are not compatible, mixing can form gel in the system if proper flushes not done before switching. Google it. Some core failures may be related to that.

    Blend Door Actuator Motor Calibration
Turn ignition key to the on position and turn on the HVAC system. Move the key to the off position. Open hood (bonnet for the RHD guys) and locate fuse #15 in the fuse box next to the battery. Remove the fuse and wait 1-2 minutes for any capacitive charges in the system to dissipate. Replace the fuse. Turn the ignition key to the on position. You can now watch the motors move as the system goes through the calibration routine. Leave the key on for a couple of minutes to make sure that the calibration routine is completed before turning it off. You will also be able to hear additional activity as all the doors and fan speed are calibrated. You may have to run the cal routine a couple of times to get the system back to full functionality. If the position of the new door is significantly different from the point at failure, the system will successively move toward the new correct position setting. It may take two or three cycles for the system to move to the correct position.

I had a 2014 camaro for 2 days while my van was in the shop.
Had the "my link" radio. Over Bluetooth, displayed album art, track total time, track elapse time, and fwd control.
Really cool radio. It was as though I was playing a cd, when in fact it was pandora.
Really liked the car too. An LT1 camaro.
But as most experts say, a bit of complicated radio interface. The uConnect radio is clean and straight fwd.

    You're mean! Lol.
You apparently haven't seen what used to be the standard radio. LoL
Aside from your sound issues, I can't say many bad things about the 4.3.
I think it's a step fwd for dodge overall.
The 8.4 is a leap fwd in time though.

This does look great. But I'd like to see more of the mid grade model.
I don't think I'd be shopping for a platinum limited model. Maybe ill go as high as a touring plus.
Going for the luxury treatment can get super expensive. I know the odyssey elite goes for 45k. No way I'd pay that much for a minivan.
The old Pacifica is exactly what this new T&C trying to be. A cross over the minivan/ SUV, with more minivan emphasis. I liked it. It had several issues. The 3.5, the 4 speed, the price, and crazy devaluation.
When they introduced the LX model, it took all pretension of being luxurious, away. And the fact that it was 2 years late.

At this point, I already have a hard wired cam in place. Routing a new cam would be a pain in the a$$. Last I checked the oem cam is around 350$ plus sales code program.
Again, I can easily replace a bad cam from eBay. Around 30$. The Chrysler cam tends to act funny in cold weather ( I have a '15 caravan with the back up cam). That and I already have the lockpick wired up. I've been thinking (for about 3 years lol) of adding that available turn signal camera.

I originally got the lockpick for the back up cam and I bought it from another member for like 150$, so it wasn't expensive. It was new too.
Back in those days, i could not find anywhere info on adding the oem camera which later it was found out. Besides, I had read a lot about how glitchy the oem camera is/was.
So it just affects the back up can for now. Looking on eBay for another lockpick. 😒 Gonna seal it with jelly this time.

    Diagnosis : bad lockpick.
I'm mad that there's little options out there other than lockpick. I removed it and everything is working fine. The electronic board indide looks poorly soldered. There's a bunch of corrosion on it. My car hasn't gone swimming either.
Anyways.. On another note, unplugging the battery for 22 hours did not erase the "paired phones" list. I had to use the old 4.3 radio and screen to delete them. No big deal since I had removed the 8.4 radio to troubleshot the no power issue.

    Happy New Years guys.
I know this has been discussed before but not under the same circumstances.
    Here's what happened.
I bought my wife a new phone so we needed to remove s phone from the uconnect list but the "+" on the screen won't work. I disconnected neg cable from car. Waited about an hour.
After I reattached everything back, I started the car and nothing was on the screen. The HVAC controls aren't doing anything either. And I got the fabled blower at full blast. Anything thing, traction control button isn't doing anything either.
I quickly disconnected battery again, put it back, same. I even took it out an ran it for a few. Turned back on, same.
I checked fuses under hood, and under pass, but it wasn't fun to get to the pass fuses. Then I noticed that I can remove and insert CD into radio. So it's got power.
Before I left for work I left batt -neg cable off, and I guess I try again later tonight.
I guess if all fails, I still have the original 4.3S set up from 2012.
I'm out of warranty by time too. 26k, but I'm 3.5 yrs into the car already.
That and they'll just blame the 8.4 screen cause I changed it from the 4.3 (yeah, back in '12).
    Any thoughts?

Mcgusto82 got a reaction from Marie Jay in Installing 8.4 uConnect (actually doing it)
So after so much searching, and talking about doing the upgrade, I finally got to do it.
I bought the RB5 (allegedly N), and the 8.4 screen with bezel. Came in on Monday, but the anxiety wouldn't let wait till the weekend to install it. Went out last night and did it in the dark. Lol.
1st thing, everything fits nicely. You need to wear gloves to take the radio apart. Behind the journeys "soft" touch panels, there's a ton of sharp jagged edge corners.
There's also a lot of tugging and pulling on small connectors. You're going to need s small flat head screw driver, and patience.
Now the bad news... Apparently, the lower stack (AC) panel from the 4.3 does NOT work with the 8.4.
After install, I was not able to adjust the temperature. On the screen it will not move from 22c. From the AC panel, it won't even beep.
I also was not able to find controls for the rear climate..
I'm thinking this must be cause the AC panel isn't communicating with the 8.4.
I'm impressed of how the voice control feature works on the rb5. You can actually call it voice control. Not the phone voice control.
Had to take everything back out, and now I need the lower stack panel.

The right radio (rb5) has additional connects. From the 3 stacked together all the way to the right (pic). It's like mirrored connector for the remote USB. Anyone know what that is?

Anyone interested in knowing. The uConnect voice command module seems to be behind the screen assy beneath the vent tunnels.

I had been waiting for this test to come up. Can't say I'm surprised, considering how the grand caravan did.
If like to come up with reasons or excuses for the DJ, but reality is that it's a tough test, and anything not recently designed isn't gonna do very well. Current DJ goes back to 06 likely. It was introduced in 08 as an 09 model.
That being said, it does well on all test that were prevalent when introduced.
I hope the next DJ does better and everyone, try to be safe on the road.
Remember, the small overlap test is the "texting accident". 3-5 seconds distraction that puts one just over the line and clips another car.
Keep your eyes on the road and this sort of accident is avoidable.
