You need to contact Sirius xm about the subscription ID change, and activation. You're going to need the original code that came on the 4.3 you had. Now. Idk how your dealer handled the purchase being overseas. But my Sirius was activated when I took the car home. If your xm was activated at delivery, it starts the yr subscription regardless if you have service or not.

I haven't tried either lock pick or the camera vendor. I was doing the install on Saturday afternoon to evening. It was cold, and eventually a light snow flurry began. 😳😲 I have a 3row DJ, so under the carpet is s def no for me. I think under the carpet would be twice as difficult. The most difficult part was installing the camera, and routing the wire from the hatch into the cab. Using a metal wire clothes hanger, I routed the wire from rear roof light to the next, to the rear AC control, to the front row light, then to the A pillar. Not difficult at all.

So I installed a back up cam on my wife's DJ with the 8.4 Ill post more details on another time, as I ran into a little problem. I used a lockpick c8, ran. rca thru the roof, down the drivers A pillar. With everything connected,I get a rolling color screen. As though the video sync is off. I used the back up bulb for power as I didnt want to run 3 wires instead of the single rca. And I ran ground right to chassis. Is it possible thats the problem? I'm trying to avoid opening the hatch trim again. Did you guys know thats all fiberglass? The plastic clip holes dont seem to like being taken on and off.

Looks like the inside edge of your rings are catching on the steering wheel. I put on a wheel cover on my caravan, and my wed ring ate it just like your wheel looks like. I'd recommend putting on a wheel cover and see if the problem persist.

REX problem
Mcgusto82 replied to mava's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
You upgraded your radio to another, right? If that's what you're saying, try swapping out the new radio for the old one. See if the old one works, then yes, the new might've been fried. Sometimes these radios need to be unplugged and reset. Also try looking for a bad fuse. -
need help removing the rear ac controls.

I like the idea. When I installed my overhead dvd at the back, I didnt have to or needed to relocate the controls. Seems like its only a good idea if you're installing a big screen. Mine is a 9" and theres no obstruction. I can even see out my rear mirror. -
I've been on the fence on this. The projector kits I've seen have a property hid bulb. So.. If your bulb goes out, you need to get the bulb from them again. I want to be able to get the hid bulb from anywhere. Idk.. When the weather gets better (soon) I'll get back on modding.

Have you tried a wire clothes hanger? Straighten it, and fish it out.

When I 1st installed the 8.4, the lower stack that came with the car, fit fine. BUT. I wasn't able to adjust the temperature. I then bought a lower stack, I was ABLE to adjust the front temp, but it would not show the selected temp on the screen. Basically, you adjust the temp blindly. It's s bit annoying, but my wife seems used to it. She complaints a ton when something is actually bothering her. I'm actually shocked she hasn't said anything. That's why I say it's a BIT annoying. It's on my top 5 things to do. The rear climate works fine from the rear control panel.

Hey Chavo. If I were you, I'd try really hard to get the screen and bezel all together. There's a bunch of small parts that might be missing omfrom the bezel. The overhead DVD isn't going to work if you don't have the OEM wiring. (all of it) Besides, the OEM set up uses supporting hardware inside the lining, like the moulded frame inside. You might be better off getting a universal DVD overhead player. Or a couple of galaxy tab 2 7". (I got mine for 149.99 @ micro center on sale) and mount them on the headrests. I still haven't been able to fix the auto climate error also, so be prepared to deal with that. I lost control of the rear climate from the front also. Keep in mind, if your current radio doesn't have SAT radio, you don't have the gps antenna for the nav to work. You need that. Ic you don't have Bluetooth, you wont get it from the RB5, you'll need other stuff for that to work.

Asked Service Department about aftermarket radio
Mcgusto82 replied to dodgeman324's topic in Accessories, Modifications
He has a 2010 DJ There's s lot of options for him to look at. There's Chinese versions of the mygig radio too. They have nav, cam input, iPod integration and sub out for your own amp. Search eBay, search "dodge gps" -
I agreed with you until you got rude. Either way, questioned answered, point made, time to end this show.

Asked Service Department about aftermarket radio
Mcgusto82 replied to dodgeman324's topic in Accessories, Modifications
That is insane! You only need another 80$-150$ worth of accessories or adaptors on top of whatever the new radio will run you. -
My wife hit a orange "caution" construction cone on the highway on Monday. "idk where it came from". Lmao No damage that I can see, I'd be very upset if it had been damaged. Car doesn't even have 5k miles.

That's awesome. I hope our time with ours turns to be as pleasant as yours. 👍👍

I've had it with this 2011 Journey and lack of service! (LONG POST)

Get yourself a large pitcher full of cold water, add some sugar, and grab a lemon squezzer, cause my friend. You've got yourself a lemon. I understand your frustration, and I'm Not going to tell you to find yourself another dealer. Buying a car is not like buying a toaster. It's a big purchase, and as a customer you tend to expect consistency from the manufacturer and the dealer network. Unfortunately that's not the case. I too was getting the run around from a dealer before also. It's frustrating because, Chrysler should have better dealer quality standards, and ought to do something about it when something happens. But oh we'll. Good luck with another dealer. -

Fog in headlight lens
Mcgusto82 replied to OhareFred's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
I'd say the vent tunes are clogged. Id take the headlight off and physically clear the tubes. The dealer would probably clear the lens by doing the exact same thing you did. Then you'd have to come back for a second visit b4 they'd really rolled up their sleeves.
