The journey is very practical indeed. Sporty?? Honestly I don't think so ( not with the 17"s anyway). The suspension is fine, smooth, but the steering is overly boosted. Feels loose, not a lot of road feedback. The 0-60 runs are... Idk how to explain it.. Lots of torque, moves WITH authority, but doesn't have that jump you're prolly expecting with the pentastar. The tranny doesn't drop gears fast enough when you're merging on the hyway. I say all of this because I also drive a 2011 grand caravan. It's even more practical, and it's faster. It's feels faster! The tranny drops more gears, and it does it faster. And there's more road feedback, and well weighted. Another thing, 3 kids, means 3rd row right? So that really narrows your search. The edge is 2 row SUV. Cost more too. Drive them both. There's also the flex, it's 3 row.

What did they end up doing to fix it? What codes did they get? Btw, really glad you got it fixed.

I'LL SAY!! The v6 is ridiculously quite. I've turn the car off trying to turn it "on" a few times. Lol Never thought I'd ever see myself complaining about how quite and smooth an engine is.

You can mount the paddles fixed to the column. Where they don't turn with the steering wheel, they sit a couple of inches behind the steering wheel. Many cars WITH paddle shifters are designed like that. I'm not the primary driver of the DJ, so I don't know. How responsive is the manual shifter?

You are correct. It does not show artist info from pandora on Bluetooth. I checked yesterday. Only does on USB dock.

Yeah some people like them some hate it. I used to HATE them on my 08 caravan, when I had it. I wanted HIDs for the entire 3.5 years I had it, but couldn't cause of the stupid DRLs. Funny thing is that most 08s didn't have DRL standard. Only fleet cars had them standard. My 11 has them, but atleast it's a seperate bulb. I'm enjoying my HIDs everyday. 😍

Bumba ras! So why did they kill that feature? I saw a crew, and my SXT ('12) and both didn't have the express windows. Only the driver

I know u said you're not interested in iPhone. Either way.. With it, u get artist/title info thru Bluetooth, and USB dock cable. However, thru USB, you loose fast fwd on pandora.

Did the journey at any point have the window express feature? Mine only has the front driver's on the down roll. I also wish It could roll down the windows from the key..

So as Ive said b4, I have a 11' caravan on top of the DJ, and the caravan has full auto up and down buttons for the front windows. Looks indentical to the DJ controls, do I tried the caravan controls on the DJ, no surprise, plugs into just fine, but the front windows don't open or close. But interestingly enough, the rears do. I see that the caravan controls have fewer prongs on the front plug. The DJ has enough prongs where it seems like it controls the window directly, the caravan seems like it goes thru the canbus. Anyone have an opinion on the matter? Could it be a starscan activated feature?

Question.. My 12' SXT doesn't have the over head console with the convo mirror. So I bought a used console from what seems like a 09 DJ, but has 2 square lights instead on the current circle lights, what size bulbs are those? And does anyone have the part # for the mounting hardware? Or even better, the current console part # ( my wife doesn't like the one I bought) I like the fact that I got it for 35$ shipped.

The wife's UConnect is being a dick too. Won't recognize voice commands now, volume shoots up on its own at start up, and Bluetooth won't connect (automatically) if iPhone isn't connected thru USB. Oh, and to listen to pandora from MY iPhone, I have to plug it in, disconnect and plug it back in to get sound out of it. Idk... It's not looking good. My Chinese special mygig on the GC hasn't had any issues like this. I know about the TSB, haven't had time to take in my 2 month old car to the dealer... 😠😒

Idk about you guys, but when it rains.. I turn my wipers on, my cars have DRL, if I feel like I'm not easily visable at the rear end, I turn my lights on. And my dash.. Well, I'm looking at th road ahead, not at the screens in the car.

My '12 SXT (American) has 2 dials. Not sure when it was built, but we got it late May.

Don't feel bad. My 11 grand caravan had the same issue at less than 6 months old. It's finally fixed now. The heads were replaced on it, exhaust phasers took care of it, then the dealer must've messed up cause my cyl 1 coil took s major poop (it got cracked somewhere in the process of replacing the exhaust phasers) Problem is isolated to really early 3.6's I did report the defect to NHST. You should too.

Hi. I bought a '12 journey SXT 3.6 awd a bout a month ago. So far, my impressions are good. Very quite, refined, and best dodge product I've seen since the '94 stealth. MPG is less than impressive. My wife is averaging 15 mpg with about 60% city 40% highway. I'm less than impressed cause I drive an '11 grand caravan with the same 3.6. And I drive it HARD, I floor it every on ramp, and I make use of all 282 hp when I have to pass someone, and I get 14.5 fill up to fill up with 90% city 10% highway. Meanwhile she and I baby the journey and well.. Whelk have to wait and see if it improves. Either way HI.
