  1. I believe it's, Portuguese. But recorded in brazil. Website doesn't seem to work though.
  2. I would suggest, you need to call Chrysler directly.
  3. There's a small under the floor storage compartment on the 7 seater DJ. Don't forget the 2nd row in floor compartments, and the front pass seat compartment. You already have all of those in all DJs. The reason I love the grand caravan is the stow and go seats. 95% of the time the seat behind the driver's is stowed under, but every now and then, I use it. And it's great having it there when I need it. Same with the 3rd row. You'll appreciate it when you need it.
  4. It's Defenately not an engine limitation. The same 3.6 pulls over 5000lbs on the Durango, and the grand caravan pulls 3500lbs w/ same engine and tranny. The engine bay isn't over crowded as compared to the caravan, so I don't think it's a heat issue either. It's got to be chassis limitation. Maybe the suspension can't handle it. On another note, is the Durango available in NZ? I'd look at that. It's avail w/3 row, tows 5000+ lbs, and has the same v6 standard.
  5. Car-parts.com Its a wrecker connect site. Search for a part, you get a list of sellers. Bought stuff on there before. Keep in mind, this is all second hand stuff.
  6. Sorry for the delayed and poorly illustrated post. Ok, so I installed a back up cam on my wife's 8.4 uConnect. The uConnect is actually a retrofit also. I used the lockpick c8 module - 185ish $ from another member And a universal camera from eBay E366 model number 18 $ The instal is pretty straight fwd. I drilled a small hole at the center of where the license plate bulbs go. The cam has one cable lead that goes to a connector where it splits to +/- and RCA. I used a metal clothes hanger to assist in getting the cable thru the rubber accordion from the hatch to the cab. I also used same hanger and ran the cable thru the headliner by opening the overhead lights and rear AC control for access points. That's the lockpick and RCA connected. Here, if you look closely, you'll see the lockpick stashed above and behind the radio. (you want to place the radio back before you try to fit the lockpick inside) Now the lockpick offers 3 Cam inputs, front, aux, side, and rear. (3 because you can only have 3 connected, you loose aux if you set the turn signal cam), and it has it's own power supply for all of those. The cam I bought has a power line (+) built the RCA. I think that wire is meant to signal the receiver when the Cam is on. But when I had used the wires at the rear hatch, I had display issues. But thru some troubleshooting, I found I can power the cam thru that wire. Because of some issues, I ended up using that wire for power, and connected my ground at the rear hatch bundle. There are a few ground wires. They are a hard black insulated wire. (easy to break, VERY) I cut, and crimped connectors at both ends with one extra cable going to the cam ground. It's a time consuming mod. But worth the time and $$< http://i1186.photobucket.com/albums/z361/memin82/3BA9403D-595E-48AE-8108-B989944F6F21-2410-0000027158139CD9.jpg If you go the same route as I, take the rear hatch plastic cover all the way off, I tried to partially pull it down, but I just ended up scrapping my arms. Also, the cam is nice and pretty, but I'm not convinced. The video at night with poor lighting is crummy, and the view angle is rather low. On my caravan, I can drive backwards with the just the camera. So let me know what you guys think.
  7. The DJ has a little under 6k miles on it. Mostly around town driving. Not quite city driving. Lots of highway, just in short burst.
  8. There isn't many more options for you unless you swap out the radio all together. Price is kind of high for just Bluetooth. Have you tried looking for a used mygig w/nav. Those have the Bluetooth built in. (you still need the mic)
  9. The 2011 has the best tow rating, at 3500lbs. That's with the 3.6 v6. Not sure what engine sizes are avail over there. 2012 & 2013 have a lower tow rating at 2500$
  10. Not not sure how the uConnect radio works in Canadá, but here in the US, there is an option to turn off the DRLs. (which is funny cause they aren't turned on) So try playing with that setting, if you can in fact shut them off, then you can add your HIDs You can possibly add some LEDs to the front of the DJ and connect them to acc power to have them on while the car is on (if you need DRLs) I think you need them in Canada, you DON'T need them in US. Let us know how it goes.
  11. Our '12 AWD 3.6 is at 14.5 mpg. 😭😭😡😭
  12. From my understanding. Only the nav mygig's have the uConnect built in. Any others require a seperate module. Back up cam, yes, but you'll need a lockpick module to connect an aftermarket camera.
  13. Try another car wash. Maybe the touch less car wash water jets are too strong and causing the leak. Try a regular car wash, still leaks, dealer needs to fix it.
  14. Great news!! Job done. I successfully installed the back up cam. I had to order a second camera and THAT was defective. Lol. But I was able to troubleshoot thd old camera and cable with it, and turned that the original was fine. I'll have to post pics to better explain myself. I'll get to it later maybe.
  15. The nav software isn't built in on all 8.4 screen journeys. As they said above. You need to have the 8.4N radio (RB5 radio code) You probably have a DJ with radio code RB2. Good news though. You can add it later. You'll need to swap the radio module for an RB5, and you should have nav. But since you're buying the car now, why not order the package all together. Specially since you're already paying for the 8.4 uConnect.
  16. Let me tell you something about fleet vehicles. I drive a fleet caravan, and I have 10 other co-workers I personally know well. Unless you know the driver, I wouldn't trust the car. Fleet drivers are usually careless, and driven hard. I'd need to see service records, and a real price incentive. I take good care of my van. I keep all receipts, I wash it often, I treat it like its mine. My other co-workers on the other hand.. They have to be "reminded" to get oil changes, most of them beat on their cars, and since our company stopped paying for car washes, most of us will go a year before they wash it. We get the option to buy the cars at the end of 3 years at a really deep price, and there's a bunch of those cars I wouldn't touch. I think at the dealer price, you're taking a gamble on the '12.
  17. <blockquote class='ipsBlockquote'data-author="redtomatoman" data-cid="26981" data-time="1363584979"><p> How about approaching the parents? At least split the bill. I don't know the situation, but I've never wrapped a seat belt around my head. Even as a kid. The situation sounds odd. If it was a true safety situation and somehow the seat belt design was the cause, I think Chrysler may be helpful. If not, well. . . Dunno.<br /> <br /> Peace.</p></blockquote> I second that. I can't imagine how the seat belt would wrap itself around someones head.
  18. .. So to answer the original question.. The relay won't work. You'll just get a loud buzzing. You are going to need hid's that are can bus compatible. 8000 isn't bad in my opinion, but you do loose some brightness. With 6000 you get a real nice OEM look though. Anything LESS, and it's pointless. For those who don't know, there's 2 different types of HID bulbs. D2R, and D2S. The D2R is designed for reflector (DJ) and won't spread out the light. As long as you have the right bulb, you're ok. Cops only pull over people for the 10000ks or 12000ks because of the color being too cop like.
  19. My caravan doesn't have a delay. I need to test the DJ and see for myself.
  20. I received my new cam last week but I started remodeling my bathroom, that's taken ever free minute I have. Were almost done. Then I'll get back to that project.
  21. So. I be been reading this thread. There's lots of inconsistencies from Dodge. Really doesn't make sense that there's no way to re-cal the compass (manually) Either way, I have a 2012 SXT US spec. While I was playing around installing my back up cam and back up sensors, I noticed a back box inside the roof liner, just aft of where the antenna is mounted. Is that the compass module? My car doesn't have any compass showing anywhere and it's not listed on the window sticker. It wouldn't surprise me if it's installed but not Part of the right package therefore they keep it secret. I have to get back in there soon. I'll take a pic.
  22. I think they are both (8.4, & 4.3) manufactured by Mitsubishi in Japan. The alpine system is just a licensing from alpine with a added amplifier.
  23. Just tell them to add the sales code for the DRLs There's 2 different codes listed on the dealer connect site. I saw them when my dealer was working on my DJs radio swap. @ genaraltso: which code did they use on yours?
  24. You're right. If you have rear screen, you have the rear aux input. I neglected that. The lockpick doesn't allow video playback from the sd card is the answer you were really looking for. For those without the rear screen option, the lockpick adds aux input for video.
