Yeah, youre def right about that. Lots of "what ifs" on my mind. Like.. Do I loose the voice control Bluetooth? Sat radio? Climate control integration.. Specialy the 3rd row climate controls. What about the redundancy of the original cd slot on the car.. If it cost less, maybe I'd try.

The 4.3 uConnect, here, in the US doesn't have those problems that you, the freemont guys, are having. I think it's pretty fair to not mention problems that a completely different market is having. The 4.3 has its short comings, but overall, it's a good system, here, in it's home market. Not to belittle YOUR problems with it, but you can't condem the system as a whole. I would bet that Fiat and the freemont came onto the picture past thd R&D of the uConnect radio. Therefore, it's a Fiat problem, not a Chrysler one. The Ram 1500 is a very capable, and competitive truck, here in the US. What the entire article (mobile app) puts out, is that the changes are welcomed, including the addition of the uConnect radio. And I agree.

New this year, a massive 8.4-inch touch-screen that’s tastefully integrated into the center stack replaces the dumpy brick-style head unit. The Uconnect system boasts attractive graphics, intuitive layouts, and quick responses. Best of all, the Garmin-based navigation that’s been integrated into other Chrysler cars has been tossed. -automobile mag on the 2013 Ram 1500.

Yup. Havent "investigated" how fast or slow. I just know, it's usually off. I've noticed it to be as far as 5 minutes off. Oh well.. Oh btw, 2012 here too

You're right, it shouldn't. But just think.. If your key is running low on battery, and you just happen to throw it in the backseat inside a purse. You step out after shutting off the car. Now you're stuck outside...

Can you upgrade a 4.3s cd/mp3 radio to bluetooth
Mcgusto82 replied to dlmiller2010's topic in Interior
On this radio, no, you really can't. Like Big said, there's the steering wheel hardware for voice control, then there's the rear view mirror (microphone is mounted on there) Even if you got the micro phone, you need the wiring going from up there to thd radio which isn't up there. Then, the radio itself. Not sure if it's already built in, or if you need a head unit with it. At the very least, it would be starscan activated. Dealers don't even like/know how to activate/disactivate the daytime head lights. Keep looking though, there might be a kit available soon. There's a kit for the older mygig radios. -
Anyone else have this noise and do they think its normal?
Mcgusto82 replied to Mohammadsen's topic in Engine & Transmission
No. The sounds isn't normal. The start up sound I guess is normal. Both the grand caravan and my journey does it. But the continued sound isn't in my journey or caravan. Both have the 3.6 -
2013 R/T to receive new high performance suspension

What is different? -
Seems like someone wants to destroy their journey. LoL Why not just buy a used sorts car? A 92-94 stealth would cost you what a motor swap would. Even less than what a new tranny would be. Cause that's far from warranty work. Lmao.

LMAO!! I like it. If they had compress everything in 1 page, it would loose the graphics. Besides, it isn't priority info. Should be used while parked only. My 11 grand caravan has the simple(er) EVIC. It's slow, the step button will sometimes not respond, and it's weak!! I'd trade it in for the journeys EVIC.

You're spoiled alright. Auto lock the doors?? That'll cause far more trouble than it solves.

Sorry, I don't understand what you are asking... Btw, what year?

Mcgusto82 replied to Mohammadsen's topic in Engine & Transmission
Which noise? The one immediately at start up? Yeah, mine does that. After wards, sounds like belts rubbing. And no, mine doesn't do that. ('12 - 3.6) -
That's quite a weak engine. I think that after the time, the labor, the parts.. The cost will be WAY more than if you had bought a journey with the pentastar. And even then, STR4 power isn't just a turbo install. There's A TON of added hardware to get those numbers. Not to discourage anyone already WITH the 2.4. But if you still haven't signed anything, get the v6 if you want power.

Five brake lights instead of three
Mcgusto82 replied to AstralRT's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
Being the car runs on a canbus system, I wouldn't try connecting both sides to the 1 3rd brake light. I MIGHT give you issues. The 3rd brake wiring runs into the lift gate on the same harness bundle. -
Keep Fog lights on with High Beam
Mcgusto82 replied to AstralRT's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
Yeah. I would. I don't think it would be a problem. On another note, I hadn't realized the fogs went off when you had the highs on. Interesting... -

On the rear, take the drivers side black panel off, you will find all of the wiring for the brakes and hatch wiring. If you have the 7 sweater, you'll need to take off the seat belt top mount. Take a meter and go hunting. Wear gloves, have time and plenty of sun light. -

You can tab your positive line to the yellow corner parking lights. That also keeps your fogs on as long they are on. -
Had the politicians stuck to the original deal, had the public not put soo much pressure on the government.. Politicians aren't good with money. All they know how to do, is get people emotional, and spend money. They were so eager to close the book on the deal (pressure from the public) that they took whatever they could as fast as possible. That's why so much money was lost. A person can be a smart being, but when u rally them together, they become extensions of the loudest idiot. It's OUR fault we took a hit. Btw, I'm in no way, shape, or form, associated with the car industry. I too saw the 09 journey, and thought... I'll pass. The loan was a good idea mr tax payer.
