Never heard of that brand. Yikes, 280 tread wear, you'll be replacing those in a year! This isn't a performance vehicle, no need for performance tread tires and tire wear in my opinion...

onecrazyfoo4u reacted to Diana in Gas pedal placement
Hi there!
I'm barely 5'1 and I'm having problems with my right knee since I bought my journey back in September. I love my car but the gas pedal is awkward for me to move from the gas to the brake without it killing my knee! If I'm close enough to the gas, I'm too close to the brake. I've never experienced this with any other vehicle and it's making me think of trading it in. I really don't want to though, but I need some help to remedy this situation. I'd be SO grateful fir suggestions! This is my current solution but I need something permanent.

Yeah it could have, but I wanted something different. I had been driving Honda for years and the Pilot looks too "soccer mom" to me. The Journey looks a lot better, I don't get why all of the review sites say it looks boring? I think it looks pretty aggressive. Then again, I still think the Chevy Blazers from the late 90's look good. I guess I just like clean lines :-)

Yep, they just replace the left cylinder head. The right one was apparantely manufactored properly. We had ours replaced 40k miles ago and haven't had a problem since. It's a fairly easy part swap at the dealership.

It sounds the alarm! To find your car in a parking lot or whatever. Just push it again to shut it off.

Check this link out and download an owners manual. It contains the answer to your question. Or, you can just press the button and see what happens.

I think you answered your own question. It's not much of an inconvenience. . . I would think your 2017 crossroad probably has a lot of niceties that you didn't have on your civic, just not the walk away lock feature. I am correct?
As long as you are happy with the other aspects of your DJ, you'll get used to having to push the button when you leave the vehicle, it will become habit, and you'll forget all about the locking feature.
Peace.

onecrazyfoo4u got a reaction from jkeaton in Humming or whining noise
Great advice and steps from bfurth. The only thing I would change is replace the bearings in pairs. Depending on age and vehicle mileage, if one is going, might as well do the other side while you're at it.
My 2012 has 115k miles and my bearings are definitely going bad. The make the winding noise as I drive faster...and get louder when I turn either direction at slow speeds.
Another check is to raise your front end of the ground and do a wiggle test with the tires still on. See if there's any play side-to-side or up and down. There shouldn't be any play with good bearings.

If you paid $36k for the DJ you got ripped a new one. Bought our new fully loaded crew in 2012 for $25k out the door. Last I checked, inflation is that much...

Don't get played by electric superchargers. They've been myth busted many times. It's a big scam/joke.

Agreed, this new format is terrible on cell phones and tablets. Much slower than before too...

I personally hate this new format. It's terrible on my mobile.

You really should use the latch system...much better than seatbelts. If you don't think its tightening enough, then kneel (put all your weight) on the car seat while tightening. That's how I do it and they are rock solid.

onecrazyfoo4u got a reaction from dhh3 in Reset the "Oil Change Required" warning....HOW?
You push the ignition ON button. First push goes to accessory, second push goes to ON. Then push the accelerator pedal 3 times. Then push the ignition button to off.

onecrazyfoo4u got a reaction from rolly in Lifting the Vehicle at a Certain Point to lift Both Wheels
I always jack it about a foot back from the front jacking point, on the pinch weld. That gets both wheels in the air at the same time, then throw jack stands on the front and back. Never had a problem doing this, and I've done it on all of my prior vehicles this same way...

onecrazyfoo4u got a reaction from Journey_SeXT in Anyone Flush the Coolant Yet?
I changed transmission fluid at almost 100k miles. I just changed the plugs at 104k miles. And now the coolant at 105k miles. First time for each of those three. Basically just following the manual for each of those. The only one I might have done sooner would be plugs. I noticed a drastic mpg increase when I changed them (about 2-3 mpg). Those should have been changed out at about 75k miles or so.
