  1. V6 AWD + Up to 15 minutes of idling + mostly city driving + winter blend fuel....there is no way you will get any decent fuel economy out of it. The Journey needs to do some long range highway driving before you can see those totals drop.
  2. Replacing cabin air filters and oil changes are pretty easy to do on your own if you don't like the dealer's rates.
  3. Not knowing what your body structure is like i couldn't tell what way is more comfortable but your DJ should have a telescoping steering wheel that you can pull forward to help with low and further back settings. I can tell you that I do find mine to be very comfortable especially going on long trips.
  4. Well, seeing 1949 has 82,000 miles and the Journey started in 2009 then regardless the year he/she should be covered under the factory powertrain warranty. Right?
  5. Sorry to hear that. Is the transfer case not a part of the powertrain? Wouldn't that be covered under a 5 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty?
  6. Yup, the Pentastar is a great engine and here is something of interest I did a Copy & Paste of to prove its greatness The complete list for the 2013 Ward's 10 Best Engines honors is below. Audi 3.0L TFSI Supercharged DOHC V-6 BMW 2.0L N20 Turbocharged DOHC I-4 BMW 3.0L N55 Turbocharged DOHC I-6 Chrysler 3.6L Pentastar DOHC V-6 Ford 2.0L EcoBoost DOHC I-4 Ford 5.8L Supercharged DOHC V-8 Cadillac 2.0L Turbocharged DOHC I-4 Honda 2.4L DOHC I-4 Honda 3.5L SOHC V-6 Subaru 2.0L FA DOHC H-4 Boxer
  7. That's got to be some sort of a site infraction making a post saying that a Dodge Journey is a step down! :D Welcome to the forum!!!
  8. You're right it doesn't specifically mention the tire rotation but it does mention replacing a tire with info on how long and fast you need to drive for the sensors to automatically detect. I would assume it would also apply to a tire rotation once tires are set to its new location. Once you repair or replace the original road tire and reinstall it on the vehicle in place of the compact spare, the TPMS will update automatically. In addition, the “Tire Pressure Monitoring Telltale Light” will turn off and the graphic in the EVIC will display a new pressure value instead of dashes (- -), as long as no tire pressure is below the low-pressure warning limit in any of the four active road tires. The vehicle may need to be driven for up to 20 minutes above 15 mph (24 km/h) in order for the TPMS to receive this information.
  9. Moparman is right. Drive it around for awhile and they will automatically be detected....your owners manual will give you more info about it.
  10. Defender007 have you tried tracking your gas mileage consumption with www.fuelly.com? If so, is it the same numbers as reported on your EVIC? If you haven't then maybe you should try it for a few fill ups and see if it gives lower fuel consumption readings cuz the numbers you are reporting would make a Hummer look like a smart car.
  11. Wow, quite the jump from a Prius. Enjoy the Journey and welcome to the forum!

    Hello

Enjoy the site and welcome to the forum!
  13. They are lying if they have never heard of the Service AWD issue.... I just googled "Service AWD Dodge" and there are threads regarding this issue so it does exist and they need to figure it out. Luckily you are still under warranty. As far as clock & volume issues there are threads already dealing with those issues you can read up on and I think there is a software update to cure that problem. BTW welcome to the forum!
  14. Hey Bgtsr, Thanks for pointing out this feature. I took my youngest sledding today, opened the rear hatch door and saw the button to open and close all doors. I never noticed that as my wife drives this vehicle 98% of the time. For anyone else who is clueless on this feature the button is found under where the license plate lights are around where the D is in the D O D G E badge. Now I'm a little P'd off the the salesman didn't mention this when showing the Enter n' Go.
  15. I don't like to go cheap with oil filters so I only use original Mopar filters I pick up from the parts department.....very good quality.
  16. jontrip247, Absolutely required and you would want those receipts in case they start accusing you of negligence. (My post above screwed up so this is a repeat of my reply.)
