  1. 5000km and three months with my Fiat Freemont FWD 140hp diesel. I am very satisfied except some minor software related issues. A lot of bang for the buck and great gas milage. 7,3li/100km in average. Br Henrik
  2. Hi, I would like to share that I am very happy with a fuel milage in average of 7,5lit/100km. I have done about 5000km with my Freemont FWD 140hp diesel and on longer trips I have down to about 6lit/100km and as most in town 9lit/100km. All this in wintertime in Sweden. A 140hp diesel may not sound like a rocket but in fact 350Nm gives well enough power for overtakes and I am positively surprised since this is my first diesel. Nice engine with a lot of grunt and I do not miss a petrol engine. Br Henrik
  3. It seems that a lot of the welding is done after the zinkbath. Also that I guess that is the frame for the chairs in the movie are not correctly prepared before going intonthe zinkbath. I believe they shall go through a ssries of preparing baths to eliminate grease and other stuff that is on the metal surface. Bad management and bad quality control!
  4. Yeah - it´s a replica that I´ve built during seven years and good fun to drive on track as well the road. Some upgrades will be done during the wintertime with new cam and tuning the Megasquirt ECU. On the wishlist is a pair of AFR alu heads. With those and a decent camshaft I will get 400-450 hp. I guess I have to stop here since all this is another forum. Br Henrik
  5. Hi guys, I realize that I have not yet introduced myself and apologize for that. We purchased our Fiat Freemont in nov 12 and it is a Urban with the 140hp diesel and equipped with the DVD entertainment system which the kids love. We have four girls so we needed a bigger car. We also have a BMW 5-serie and for my pleasure I have a GT40 replica which I both enjoy on the street as well as on the track. I am a true petrolhead and enjoys all cars and technical stuff as well. However I also like skiing, boating, travel, wine and food. I especially favour Italy and we spend a lot of time in Italy on our holidays. Before the Fiat we had an Alfa 156 which I really loved for its agility. The Freemont is another creature of course since our requirements has changed with the number of kids. However I must say it is very nice on the road for its size and the roll is very little for such vehicle. The first impression after this short period is very good. The comfort and roadholding is very good. I also like the steering since it communicates. The level of equipment is very high considering the price and it actually was a real bargain. Of course there are some things that I do not like but they are no showstoppers. I will convert to HID since the lowbeam is not sufficient for my purposes. I have also invested in a extra rustproof protection since we intend to keep the car for quite a few years. I am looking forward to follow and participate in the discussions on the forum. Best regards Henrik
  6. I love my both cars! They complement each other in a perfect way. Best regards Henrik
  7. Wow - "oriented to women" . Very impressive argumentation...... If you ask me if I want ESP on my FordGT40 and the answer is no. /Henrik ,
  8. Yes - of course there is price difference, no doubt about that. However I just noticed such difference from the BMW and a ESP system is a ESP system no matter what what car it is - it sHall ju just do the job and correct the vehicle. I am not talkong about weight here it is rather about when the system is about to grip in and do the correction. From my point of view I would appreiceate the system to grip in a bit earlier and/or be more sensitive. Is this systmem the same as on other Dodge models? Cheers and Merrry Christmas to you all from a snowy Sweden:-) Henrik
  9. Hi guys, I am a newbie here on this forum and have just completed my first 2000km with my Fiat Freemont FWD and a 140hp diesel. I really enjoy the car and many of its practical capabilities and its comfort. However there are a few things that bother me and one is the ESP and antispinn function. I feel that the behaviour of the system is that it is very late to correct the behaviour of the car. This is compared to my other cár that is a BMW 5-serie where both antispinn and ESP corrects much earlier and in a nice and gentle way. When I provoke the systems on a icy/snowy road on the Freemont I am not impressed. Is there anybody with similar experience and does anybody know if there will be some updates of the system? Regards Henrik
