    I'm not about to get out the manual, but from what you've quoted it seems clear enough to me;
At 64K you check the fluid for level and color. At 120K you drain, flush, replace filters and refill.
Same story for coolant; check at 80K, flush and fill at 5 years or 104K miles.
Of course nothing prevents you from doing these maintenance procedures more often - a clean engine is a happy engine.

bramfrank got a reaction from rolly in High Blood Pressure??
I had a triple bypass (my brother had a quad when he was a year younger than I was when I had mine as did my father, who lived independently until the age of 93 - and drove, much to the chagrin of the residents near his apartment, until a few months before he passed away) - I was on BP meds since the operation, but came off them in May of last year and they have been well within 'normal' ever since.
'Normal' is not an absolute and 'high' does not mean that you will get diabetes or stroke out or have a massive heart attack.
I'm no lightweight, and I don't exactly follow a vegan diet (I eat lots of protein, limited carbs and consume too much salt) yet my BP is perfectly normal and with the exception of cholesterol (for which I take a minimum dose of statins) all of my blood chemistry is spot on.
As mentioned previously, it is more about genetics and stress than anything else, which is why top athletes sometimes drop dead in the middle of their peak years.
Oh - and like tire pressure readings, the proper way to test BP is be fully cooled down. You are supposed to sit upright with your feet flat on the floor, fully resting - your pressure cuff should be on your bare upper arm (not through a shirt) and your forearm should likewise be flat on a table surface - you should sit that way for at least 10 minutes and then take multiple measurements over a period of time (the machine at my cardiologist's office takes 6 readings over a 15 minute period) and use the lowest.
And Rolly - let your cardiologist handle the heart medication . . . He is a specialist and GPs tend to be somewhat clueless and are often out of date. Make certain that your pharmacist knows about any and all drugs that you have been prescribed - only the pharmacist has the computer that will identify potential conflicts between your meds.

You will likely be put on a daily 81 mg aspirin and some BP regulator. Often HBP is accompanied by high cholesterol and may also indicate a pre-diabetic condition, so make sure you have the proper blood workups and glucose stress testing done.

af3ll - if you take anything from this thread it should be to ONLY buy a Chrysler OEM warranty and not a aftermarket.
And why do I think that the plan you mentioned is aftermarket?

I disagree with that last statement . . . when the supposedly reputable company from whom I bought my extended warranty (recommended by the CAA - Canadian equivalent of the AAA) tried to screw me on a major engine repair, they wiggled every way but the proper one, blaming everything from idling too long, to abusing the engine to using 'stop leak' and so on . . . when challenged to prove any of their variety of claims they declined, so I hired a lab and a professional to write reports and filed in court . . . . . I took them to small claims court for the $5,000 it cost me to fix the engine in my vehicle at the time plus the more that $1500 I paid for expertise and the judge, in his ruling told the representative of the company that they were 'slime' right to his face in the court room . . . strangely he took the decision into reserve and spent a month writing a long decision - but they were paying me 5% interest (the court awarded rate), so it wasn't a problem.
I will never entertain a aftermarket vehicle warranty again.

My (now ex) wife would complain about mileage and blew off my observations about how it is about the driver, more than the vehicle. She also ran through brakes like they were made of balsa wood. 5,000 miles a set . . .
She kept saying it was the vehicle, yet when we traded, she killed my mileage and my brakes and I got great mileage and 30,000 miles (before I traded) from the pads she had already half burned through.
After that vehicle pairing (we always had 2 of the same in the driveway) I made it a point to switch with her halfway through the ownership, fuel economy was a lot worse and brake life a lot shorter during her term with whatever vehicles we had.
    Think about it.

I had the original 17" tires that came on the '11 when it was traded - but I have no real idea of the mileage that was on them since they were swapped out for winter tires for 3 months of each year I had it (because I never bothered to check my spread sheet).
    But they were good tires.
I can't speak to the 19" ones on the Crossroad - I took delivery with a fresh set of 17" snows on steel rims and the 19" OEM wheels and tires were in the back.

The guides are added by the radio, so no.
My backup camera kit is enroute - paid US$258 and will do the install myself, but given a comment in topic about the pins in the connector being occupied (those pins are the composite video input to the radio), I wonder if perhaps Dodge has started including the camera connections in the basic harness . . . .
If so I would not need the wiring harness that comes with the full kit . . . . I could have gotten the OEM camera assembly as a stand alone part for less than $100 . . . . . .
It will be a few weeks before I attempt the installation - I will report back when I know more.

I had no real complaints about my '11 with the 4 cylinder - on the highway it won't fly by traffic you want to pass, but it is more than adequate for any sane speeds and for proper passing - and there is the marginally better gas mileage to consider (gas prices will be going back up at some point).
The 6 can be faster if you press the pedal to the floor, but for regular daily driving, both in town and on the highway the 4 is fine.
As to the AWD - I have written my posts on the topic - never needed it - and I used to drive into the mountains twice each weekend in the winter with all season tires and front wheel drive - I never got stuck and even used to get other people out of trouble - it is more about the driver than the number of powered wheels.

The '12 has remaining powertrain warranty and may possibly qualify for an extended factory warranty if you plan to keep it (ONLY buy a factory warranty if you decide to)
LOTS of interior refinements, egine and transmission refinements and 3 years less corrosion on the newer one as well.
Bells and whistles are simply things that break.

bramfrank got a reaction from jkeaton in Stock Kumo tires in snow = slippery trip
I used to weekend at a country house at the bottom of a hill in the lower Laurentians - until they passed the snow tire laws in Quebec I used all-season tires year-round and I NEVER had issues going up and down the slope in any conditions.
But my Sister in Law could never manage to get up that driveway in my vehicle . . . . . at one point she gave me heck for not having snow tires, blaming their lack on her inability to get out of the driveway (ignoring the fact that I never had an issue getting the vehicle out even after she would abandon her efforts, leaving the vehicle halfway up the hill).
One day, after my wife gave me heck to follow up the Sister in Law's complaints I went out and had a brand new set of snows installed on the van (and didn't tell either of them I'd done it) - and, as you can guess, the very next day when she got stuck in the driveway yet again, she came in and started yelling at me. I took her down by explaining the facts of life:
If I could get the vehicle out without difficulty it wasn't the vehicle OR it's tires. AND that even with a brand new set of snow tires installed she STILL couldn't get out of the driveway.
It really is more about the driver than it is the vehicle or the tires, though there are some benefits to using snow tires where conditions warrant.
Proper driver education and aptitude are the keys.

just tune to the station you are interested in and then touch and hold the 'button' you want to assign to it. The text will be replaced by the frequency of the station.
If you press the 'more' button you will see that there are as lot more station positions available than you are ever likely to need.
Unfortunately there seems not to be any was to 'forget' a station programmed into the system.

Beyond the aesthetics, the only practical reason to get new wheels is if you need snow tires - mounting a set of snows on one set of wheels and the all-season tires on another will save money in the long run and will save the tire beads from the wear and tear of twice yearly changeovers.

If you search you can find the installation manual for the OEM camera kit - it shows which panels and where to route the wiring. It doesn't look to be all THAT bad - at least not if you have a 5 passenger vehicle.

Vehicle was delivered yesterday. I'm not certain whether the cargo net was supposed to come with it, but I removed the one I had purchased for the SE Plus, along with the roof cross rails that I'd also bought and kept the floor mats that for some reason came on the SE Plus but don't on the much more expensive Crossroad.
Fit and finish are excellent, though I'd have preferred the early release leather seats that did not have the mesh inserts in them.
I was surprised that the seat back tilt adjustment is the same manual lever that the non-power seats use. Then again, so was the salesman, but what does he know?
The larger screen is nice, but I will miss that cubby on the dash below the push buttons - I suppose I'll store my stuff under the seat cushion on the passenger side.
In retrospect (and upon doing more research on Crossroads in the local area) I might have even been able to get the premium sound, convenience group and a sunroof for as little as $1,000 extra . . . . but I won't obsess over that. It was still a great deal.
Now I'm off to edit my profile to reflect the new vehicle.

They got back to me and we have struck a deal . . . . . for the original amount, with the winter wheels and tires installed
They are providing 17 inch "quality snow tires" mounted on steel rims without TPS sensors, balanced and installed on the vehicle with the OEM tires and wheels in bags to take home (I do my own wheel swaps).
And, for an extra $1740 plus tax (I know that their true cost is $1,610) I'm getting the 7/115 plan 419 zero deductible bumper to bumper warranty.
The effective trade-in on the SE Plus (which cost me 19,200 40 months ago) was $15,700 after allowing for the manufacturer's incentives . . . .
Note that in Canada the Crossroad is positioned considerably above the SXT ($4,200 difference) and the Blacktop and is priced the same as the Limited - it is only available with the Pentastar (in the US I see that it comes with the 4 banger as standard) and with the leather interior, engine block heater and a bunch of other stuff. You do trade off the stupid black wheels, leather interior, floor mats (go figure) and blacked out lighting for the car starter, cross rails and heated cloth seats . . . . but my unit has the heated leather seats and steering wheel as an extra cost option . . .

So I'm keeping the cross rails and floor mats from the SE Plus and I won't have a car starter (I park indoors anyway). The GPS will be transplanted because mine isn't coming with one - I keep it mounted above the mirror - it is very convenient there and I run the wiring above the roof liner and down the right support pillar.

    Pickup on Monday.

I know the Crossroad comes both ways (Canada is different, models/option-wise than the US and until 2014 only the R/T came with AWDF here). This is indeed the FWD version.
Well, I am pushing them . . . told 'em that I'd do the deal if they included 17" snow tires on rims - they came back with a $50 parts department credit and I responded with 'no deal'.
I have no overriding reason to change my vehicle - it has 45 months of bumper-to-bumper warranty left to run and is in almost showroom condition . . . . . so if they come back, we'll make the deal.
