  1. So... It snowed about a foot and a half the other day... And I gotta say... AWD worked AWESOME... Both in the deep snow (where other vehicles were getting stuck all over the place), and also on ice... Worked awesome!
  2. Love the red stripes as well! Will have to see if I can find a partslist and see if that's on it.
  3. I've been using the Motorola Roadster and it's worked very well... The battery in it lasts a couple weeks of standby time, and the best part is that you don't have to turn it on and off. It automatically turns on when it senses motion (door opening/closing), and then when you leave, it turns off after it loses bluetooth connection with your phone. The other great thing for owners of the iPhone 4S, it also allows you to control Siri directly from the unit, so you can tell it to read you text messages, send text messages, etc.
  4. I believe the reason it stopped in 2011 was because there were no backseat entertainment options for the 2011 Journeys... I've heard that they have reintroduced them for 2012, but not sure if the Sirius Backseat TV is an option for it now... Not sure if there are any 2012 Journey owners here with the backseat entertainment group yet.
  5. It's supposed to give you score updates from what I've heard. I have had the Canucks selected under NHL, but have never received an update so I just assumed it was another US only function.
  6. That was my suggestion as well - check the fluid level. If it's only happening when you stop, it could be that its sloshing around just enough to throw the sensor. Beyond that, take it to the dealer
  7. Hey there, The hitch has held up well. I haven't towed anywhere near 2000 lbs let alone the 3500 its rated for. I lie the look of the hitch being mostly hidden as well versus sticking out like the vertical hitch receivers, but that's a matter of preference. The 90 degree adapter seems to work good, and I haven't had any issues with it yet. The wiring I used was already included in the tow prep kit, and the harness with the 4 pin plug was just sitting in the back when I bought it... You should notice that you actually have the wiring from the battery already done up to the back bumper... You are just missing the actual 4 pin plug harness that connects to it. There is another thread on here where another user was able to (after much frustration) get the actual plug ordered. I don't recall it being $170 though... You also have the option of going cvompletely aftermarket with it as well which may save you some cost. I believe that the only reason I had to get the computer flashed was because I was using the wiring that was already built onto the journey. If you are splicing into existing wiring/direct from battery, I don't believe that a flash will be necessary.
  8. As long as they aren't going to charge you if they don't fit... My 16"s are not OEM either, but made to OEM Spec so I didn't have a problem... And about the lack of clearance being minimum, you aren't kidding. There is a centimeter (if that) between the rim and the caliper.
  9. I believe the rubber puck that you are referring to is in fact the motor mount. Unless it's changed for the Journey, I believe the jack points are on the metal panel that runs lengthwise along the Journey... Usually it's a few inches behind the front tire on each side, and a few inches infront on the back.
  10. Yep, RRT 11*069 should take care of that I hadn't had that issue before the RRT though either that I can recall.
  11. That's awesome for Americans... Unfortunately, for the majority of us Canadian's that was never an option... We don't even have the LUX up here... We have the R/T which is the same time as the US LUX, but no free maintenance.
  12. Does the GameZone work in Canada? I'm not sure if I heard anyone have success with either of these features.
  13. I'll try and take a decent picture... It's a bit dark outside. Give me a few minutes. I'll have to wait until light. I can't get one that really shows it well.
  14. This is the interesting thing... I've seen many complaints about brake dust on the Journey, however, I have had 0 brake dust issues at all. I have around 10,000 km on it currently.
  15. AS of yet, I haven't had any issue with forgetting the fob anywhere. In fact, it never leaves my coat pocket... Theres been a couple times that I'm so used to not even needing a key that I just try to get in without having my keys LOL
  16. Here's kind of a picture of where it is...
  17. If you lose your keys, you won't be able to get into the vehicle to start it The only way around it is what you suggested, by keeping the fob hidden without the battery. Definitely not an ideal solution. I never actually thought about this myself.
  18. I was going to suggest the rice thing too... Sounds crazy, but it usually works!
  19. I'm not sure I completely understand what you are meaning... From what it sounds like: When you ar epressing the button on your audio controls, you can get to the weather/game zone section just fine, but when you are trying to get there via the touchscreen, you can't?
  20. @Terry - That'll be my next try if this doesn't hold up... So far so good though.
  21. Wow... That's quite the 'information' that they gave you... I'm not sure why people feel the need to make crap up if they dont' know the answer. As has been discussed already, it's mostly the front that does the braking. The front's account for probably 75% of your braking. My guess would be because if your rear were to do most of the braking, it would cause the rear end to pitch down, and give you less traction on the front for turning/maneuvering.
  22. Well, I was typically getting around 12-13 or so... I've moved, and now live basically on the middle of a hill, so anywhere I go its uphill and downhill. Definitely took a toll on the fuel economy. Averaging around 17-18 right now.
  23. Do you happen to know the part numbers that they are ordering? If you do, can you post that for the rest of us?
  24. You can still manually browse songs by clicking the tracks button so you aren't stuck at the A's
  25. 4 Pin Harness is what comes with it. 7 pin will be something you have to get added. As for the towing capacity, that's odd. I believe in the 2011 manual, it has that same table, but there is a separate table if you have the trailer tow prep package which shows up to 3500 lbs... I'd ask your dealership, but I would think it would be 3500 lbs still, and the reason that I say that, is the trailer tow prep allows you to tow more than one without. The manual sounds like it is geared to the people that don't have the trailer tow prep package... But like i said, I'd check with your dealership first.
