  1. I recently drove from Buffal NY to Orlando Florida (approx 1200 miles). travelled through the mountains of WVA and Virginia. Maintained the speed limits either 65 or 70 MPH. 2011 SXT 6 cylinder with 6500 kms. My fuel average for that journey was 8.0 liters per 100 kms which works out to approx 35 miles per Canadian gallon or 29 miles per US gallon
  2. I had my first oil change done yesterday on my 2011 Dodge Journey. My bill shows a charge for 6.5 liters of oil whereas the owners manual for the 3.6 liter engine shows a capacity with filter of 5.2 liters. I immediately checked the dip stick and the level is fine and where it should be. Phoned the Chrysler dealer for an explanation and according to them Dodge documents show a higher oil capacity than 5.2 liters. Converting 5.5 US quarts( per owners manual) into US gallons and then from US gallons into liters comes to 5.2 liters per the owners manual. Converting 5.5 US Quarts into US gallons but then, incorrectly, using that as an Imperial gallon and converting into liters gives 6.3 liters which is very close to what I was charged for. Have any other Canadian owners run into this situation on their bills? Could be an inadvertent mistake by my dealer but that mistake adds another $5 to the bill.
  3. I have a 2011 SXT with 6000 kms up so far. I too am experiencing a transmission thud on occasions when going from Park into reverse and from reverse into drive, mostly when the vehicle is first started. Now more conscious to move the shifter much more slowly and to pause in neutral when going through the gears. This was the same issue raised by the motor correspondent in the Globe and Mail (Canada's major newspaper) with their recent review of the Chrysler 200. Never experience this problem with our Honda CRV nor my Chevy Mailbu so believe this is more a Chrysler problem. Overall the Journey has some very positive attributes, - comfortable, bags of room and storage and well thought out features and value for money BUT I am starting to have concerns that the transmission is going to be the weak link. If anyone finds a dealer who has a solution for the thud. please pass it on.

    Uconnect

Thanks for the info. Once the Blackberry "times out "after the 60 minutes I have to log back on to the Blackberry with my security code. Once that's done my blackberry and the radio are automatically paired again
  5. I am having problems maintaining the uconnect pairing with my Blackberry 8700 and wondering if I am doing something wrong. In order to receive & make phone calls through the radio my Blackberry must be on and activated ie I have to enter my security code. When this is done it works fine. However, if the Blackberry is idle for 60 minutes it will turn itself off automatically. In the Blackberry options 60 minutes is the max. idle time you can set. Once the Blackberry turns itself off in order to receive or make phone calls through the radio I have to do the pairing process all over again which means turning the Blackberry back on and enter my security code, which is good again but only for an hour. Surely this is not the way the uconnect is suppose to work so can only summize I am doing something wrong. Uconnect customer service keep referring me back to Blackberry. Please help.
