  1. I don't think that will work... The OP is correct. The 8.4N screen you see, is just a screen. The actual hardware is below it. It's actually sitting behind the HVAC controls... There are a few users on here that installed the lockpick unit and had to connect it to the factory unit.
  2. Yep... The silly thing is that XM carries the rights to NHL in Canada... And considering Sirius and XM are the same company... I don't get it. However, this is the really weird thing... On Feb 11th... I got a sports notification for a Canucks game. I clicked on it, and it let me listen to the channel so I assumed Sirius carried NHL... I want to say it was on channel 208. However, the other day I was looking for that channel and it isn't selectable. So I don't know what happened. I haven't gotten NHL alerts since. Not sure if Sirius is testing it out or something.
  3. I haven't heard back from him - I sent him a followup email yesterday to see if there was any update.
  4. The information about using 235/55/19 has been provided by dealers as well as Chrysler by calling into their customer support number. For the AWD issues, I believe from the posts that I've seen on the forum, its not from mixing and matching tire sizes, but the varying amounts of tread. Using a different tire sizes on each tire is not a safe idea.
  5. Are you referring to the function where all the doors unlock? In order for this to function (at least on my 2011), after you turn the car off, if the driver/front passenger open their door, it unlocks all doors. It doesn't work for back seat passengers.
  6. Kuhmo is actually the only company that makes the 19" tires in 225/55/19... However, Dodge has stated the recommended replacement size is 235/55/19. You can check for this size at Canadian Tire. There are also a few other sites - Tiretrends, 1010tires.com, etc.
  7. If they were 17's and they were rubbing on the caliper, I believe the person you bought it from may have been mistaken... If they were from a Dodge Journey, there would be no rubbing. Even with 16" Rims there isn't any rubbing with OEM Dodge Journey Rims. Glad to hear you got it resolved.
  8. I would imagine it would be possible... However, sourcing the parts has been difficult to do... And definitely not very cost effective.
  9. I received the following email from my dealer today... NOt sure exactly what this means yet, but will post once I hear back...
  10. I could be wrong, but for the 2010, isn't there some kind of an adaptor that needed to be used to control the iPhone/iPod?
  11. If you want some pics of the final product in this thread:
  12. I believe the Mopar ball mount (stupidly) is only rated for 2000lbs total (200 tongue weight). There are aftermarket ones (that are also the vertical) that are rated for the full 3500 lbs. Here's a link to one: http://www.etrailer.com/Ball-Mounts/Curt/C45003.html
  13. That is really odd. I don't understand why they wouldn't be able to just do a wheel alignment? Even the dealership isn't able to do the alignment? Did they give any reason as to why they need to hear from Dodge?
  14. That is completely bizarre. It's almost like there's a short somewhere or something that's causing it. You should try taking it into the dealer for sure.
  15. Actually, according to the manual, it recommends regular 87 Octane and states that there is no benefit from using a higher grade.
  16. I could be wrong here, but I would think that the hole would be there in the frame for the handle already. I didn't realize that not all Journey's came with the holy shit handles. You may even be able to order the handle from the dealer (if you can't find the part, in the Interior section, there is a thread to all Journey part numbers). You may be able to install it yourself.
  17. @bramfrank, I believe you mean the 2010 is different from 2011+. The 2011 and 2012 use the same setup.
  18. I believe that is common when the transmission is cold. I know that it will shift harder until it warms up.
  19. Looks great. Definitely like it better.
  20. I believe there were some RRT to address some of the VR issues. The cruise control issue I believe is the first time I've seen it reported.
  21. The interesting thing is that, as far as I know, there are no drivetrain changes from 2011 to 2012... Really, the only changes were the bumper.... And the 2011's could tow up to 2000 lbs without tow prep, and 3500 with the tow prep. That leads me to wonder if the 2011's were given an inflated tow rating...
  22. Ohh, this I didn't know. I didn't even notice it in the manual. My bad
  23. I'm not sure if this is what you meant, but the rear view mirror doesn't dim headlights with oncoming traffic. The front facing sensor is merely a light sensor (to tell when it's dark outside so it knows when to allow the mirror to dim), and then there is a sensor on the mirror itself that will dim when there are vehicles behind you that are shining their lights at you. The mirror does not dim your highbeams though. It merely dims the mirror so the cars behind you don't blind you.
