  1. So I've got nearly 1000 miles with the new filter and it's holding 24-26 mpg. I'm pretty happy with the results. I just tooknow a 500 mile round trip and got 26 down and 25 back. 500 miles on a single tank.
  2. I just took got back from a marathon trip of 500 miles. The journey got 26 mpg and went 500 miles on a single tank. I don't know about you but I'm impressed.
  3. So, I recently picked up this 2016 Journey Crossroads AWD v6 and fairly new to this forum. I drive on average about 400 miles per week between my commute to work and misc trips in the evening. My previous SUV was a Chevy Equinox v6 awd. My mileage in that averaged 23 miles per gallon. The DJ is rated for 24 mpg I think highway but I was only seeing 20-21mpg driving the same speed, same roads. I've read the complaints about the DJ before buying and seems like alot of people complain about the mpg not being so go. I too was seeing this and figured its was par for the coarse. Still really like driving the DJ so mileage is what the mileage is. Since the SUV has almost 12k mileage on it, I figured I'd swap out the air filter. I personally like to swap them around 10k or clean them at that point if I have one that can be cleaned. I thought I'd try AEM Dry filter (28-20470) in the DJ and see if it helps/hurts/stays the same. Over the years, I've used performance filters in almost all my cars and mostly used K&N drop in's but since they're oiled, I've been using dry filters that are cleanable. I have the AEM dry filter in my SRT and saw really no noticeable difference mileage or performance but peace of mind for me that I can clean it and really never have to buy another one. I pulled the original filter out, and it was dirty, but true be told, I've seen worse. I installed the new AEM filter, I fueled up and off to work I go. Instantly I'm seeing 24 mpg running 73-75mph. So.. fast forward 3 days of travel and a couple local trips and my average is reporting 23.5 mpg!!! Same speed, same road, same trips. Obviously I'm going to continue to watch it for a while but first impression shows a solid 1-2 mpg improvement. I'll keep you posted if anyone cares and report back my findings after a couple weeks and fill ups.
  4. Same part number for 2015 found on ebay for oem backup camera (82212553ab) was used on my 2016. It cost me $363 installed at my dealership with a dodge accessory %15 off coupon. The wires were there for hook up, so no wires needed ran. Works awesome and I'm happy with the results.
  5. I had the dealer install the backup camera in my 2016 Crossroads. I'll post pictures and more later.
  6. Ok, here's one for you guys. I don't know if it would work or not, but for the Dodge Chargers for those that don't have automatic headlights, If you have dual climate, regardless of the light switch, you have access to automatic headlights. If you pull the knob off, then turn the switch left (without the knob) to where the "auto" position would be, your auto headlights work. Then you modify the knob to allow you to turn the knob to that position by cutting off a small block of plastic that stops you from turning into that position. It works like a charm on the charger but not sure if it would work for the journeys. Who's brave enough to try this and see? It seems simple enough but i don't know if we have a similar light switch or not in the Journeys. For the Chargers, if you have dual climate, and the globe on the center of the dash, it works. Some years even work without the dual climate system. It has to do with how the systems share that globe/sensor on the center of the dash. Being that Dodge products share similar things, maybe this feature is one that could work?
  7. This red ignition button is on my list to do for my SRT charger come summer. I didn't know it would work on the Journey. I maybe have to do that too.. btw http://moparonlineparts.com/dodge-charger-start-button-p-4308.html
  8. Pic's or it didn't happen! When mine are gone, I want a larger tire. The 225's are so small.
  9. Are they straight plug and play? I'd be interested in upgrading the headlights on my DJ. Although they're not bad now, i'd consider making them better.
  10. I tried that stuff years ago and although first couple times I used it, it did look good but after a couple applications, there's quite a build up. I personally didn't like the buildup it left after a couple re-applicatons. I went back to mequires hot shine. It doesn't last as long but it doesn't leave nearly the residue that the jells left. Maybe it's worth another try..
  11. Congrats on a great looking ride!
  12. Can't say for sure but the sensors do have batteries in them and they have a life span. I'd start there and replace all of them and see if the issue goes away. If not, then you know the issue lies in the system reading the sensors.
  13. Congrats on the new Journey and Welcome to the site!
  14. From the outside mine looks the same as the back but from the inside it appears a hair darker but not bad. I'm happy with it so that's all that matters.
  15. Well it's raining and ugly but here's a photo in the garage. I'll post a better one once she's all cleaned up
  16. I would have your own mechanic look at it and the work done to it. If that checks out, and you plan on driving it into the dirt, then I say go for it. Otherwise, if you plan on selling it in a few years, the R-title will make it worth nearly nothing because most people will be afraid of it. It does look nice from the photos but those can be deceiving sometimes.
  17. Interesting concept. I'll ask the dealer about that and see if it's an option for vacation trips.
