Installed New Winter Tires TPMS won't read one tire

Hey everyone was wondering if someone can hopefully help me figure this out.

I installed 4 brand new winter tires 4 steel rims and 4 aftermarket tpms sensors 3 of them read off the bat one of them doesn't read it just shows --

Sensors been checked they are good with the reader

Sensor swapped twice same thing.

Any idea what it is or do I need to buy oem tpms sensors?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If they move the tire to a different hub and the fault follows

then it's the wheel unit either faulty or wrong frequency (MHz).

If it shows the fault for the same wheel hub then it would be

indicative of a faulty receiver.

that's what I was gonna say... more or less. move the tire and see if the situation follows suit or not.

What a difference it makes having Winter Tires we dont have any snow here yet in Canada but man you can hear those tires grab to the road its a nice & safe feeling!

They do grab the road, but fuel economy takes a hit.

  • 2 weeks later...

He didn't replace them, but installed a set of snow tires on a separate set of wheels for winter use - I do the same, but I didn't bother to install TPMS sensors on the winter wheels.

For the record, they are supposed to last between 5 and 8 years under normal use.
