If anyone is interested, I got $13K for my 2015 Journey AVP with 15K miles. More than I expected.

I took my last journey in the Journey yesterday afternoon to bring home a new Jeep Renegade Sport 4X4. The Journey served us well. Gone but not forgotten.

That doesn't go up to 2015 and is only 3 button, I have the 4 button which includes remote start. I received the replacement fob in the mail today and had it programmed at the dealer for 41 bucks. These are the specs on some wheels I'm looking at on tirerack.com. Supposed to be OEM size. Size: 17x7.5 Offset: 36mm Backspacing: 5.669" Bolt Pattern: 5-127

Damn, that was easy. About 20 minutes. Factory filter was on tight but I have the appropriate tool to get it off with ease. New filter was only hand tightened. I used Pennzoil dino 5W-20 and I had a new Fram oil filter in the garage bought for a previous vehicle that was the right size. Oil change reminder light came on at 6,800 miles, I got around to it today at 6,870. The 2.4 DJ is one of the easiest of all the vehicles I've owned to do an oil change.

Pretty easy installation. The rear wheels have to be taken off but I rotated my tires at the same time so no extra effort was required. I have a 3 ton floor jack and jack stands which makes the job even easier.

I only had mine 4 months but I agree with what's been said. Wonderful vehicle and good value. I was just recommending the DJ to a buddy of mine. He has a young son and right now they are in an old compact car. Someday that lad is going to be into all sorts of sports and they will need more room. My only regret is not buying one sooner.

Tomorrow will be my last working day. I am retiring from the job after 31 years. I'll be finding another job that will leave me more time for fun as I'm too young yet for a cane and rocking chair. I plan to get back to hunting and fishing too. Plus more time to enjoy the Journey.

I just turned 3,200 miles on my DJ after another weekend road trip. I enjoy the journey in my Journey. Once again the little 4 cylinder engine did the task of hauling another big load with ease. I should have taken a pic or two, but I had the entire back (with rear seats folded down) filled from floor to ceiling and the front passenger seat and floor packed with cargo from our home relocation.
