Coolant Leak from heater Hose behind the Engine?

Recommended Posts

This is a posted problem on early DJs.

The "Y" connection gets old and heat stressed which results in cracks.

You can buy Mopar part or as some have done go to the plumbing store

and pick up the appropriately sized ABS "Y" and use it.

Is there a write up on how to do this? I cant find very much information.

Thank you!

Not a Journey in these pics but the process, other than the ease of access, is the same. ABS 'Y' fitting and regular heater hose vs the $216 part my (Canadian) dealer quoted me.

Also see the Gates bulletin.
