richie63
Hello, I just bought the 2015 Journey R/T AWD with UConnect 8.4N system. When I connect my iPhone 6 (iOS 8.1) to the USB port in the center glove box compartment, neither it charges the phone nor it streams music from it. I took it to the dealer, they said it worked with a Samsung Android phone and it is not compatible with the new iPhones. Something related to the capacitor in the car not compatible to charge the new iPhones. Has anybody having the same issue? Anybody knows any solution to this issue? It is hard to believe that it won't even charge the iPhone using the USB port. Please help! Thanks.
jkeaton
Mines never worked either, iPhone 5s. I just use the aux input instead.
bigtsr
Known issue particular to IPhone. Plug a wall charger into the 120 ac outlet.
dhh3
I have a jPhone5s and it worked flawlessly, including charging, until I updated to iOS8. Now, the phone works, and charges but iTunes are AFU. GPS still works; nothing else I have spent many hours on with Apple and Uconnect. The problem is with Uconnect and they are diligently working on a fix. BTW, you can check which phones work by going to uconnectphone.com It will list all compatible phones there. It will list iphone 7, but not 8. So it becomes a patiently waiting game.
rbeard79
Both my iPhone 6 and my wife's iPhone 5c charge and play music when connected to USB in center console. So, I know it is supposed to work unless we are lucky. Edited January 12, 2015 by rbeard79

EDIT: Just realized the OP has a 2015. I will try and check when I get home tonight to verify... Edited January 12, 2015 by Lobitz68

Have you verified that all of the hidden wiring is firmly attached?

dhh3
iPhone6. Charges, and plays music. There is only a list of songs to be chosen. No other controls. No art.
bigtsr
If all others work then it leads me to believe your Motorola has a problem.
