2011 Dodge Journey Ripped Rubber piece near underside center of vehicle.

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys, I got under my 2011 Dodge Journey to change my oil and noticed this. Cars are not my forte by any means (I can change oil, brakes, and tires lol that’s about it) but I was hoping to see if anyone knew the name of this seemingly ripped part that’s underneath my vehicle and if it’s something that needs my attention ASAP. My ABS and brake lights have been coming on as of late but I chalked it up to some electrical issues I’ve been having that I can’t afford to fix at the moment. I’m unsure if this is contributing to it, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Hope to hear from someone soon!

Exhaust hanger donut, cheap and not that critical compared to abs and brake lights.

Check your brake fluid level first, if pedal is soft you will need to fix ASAP.

Need to check for codes to see what problem is, probably abs wheel sensor needs changing.

As stated, thats an exhaust hanger. Nothing that would impact anything electrical. Check your brake fluid level and if it is low, inspect the brake pads, could be worn enough for the fluid level to drop to the point of triggering the brake light. Welcome to the forum.
