I am going to include a piece of 1x wood to protect the airbag from damage and give a solid base to screw into I will file down any part of the screws coming out the back of the wood. That air bag deploys and whatever it is you have bolted to it instantly becomes a deadly projectile. A loaded one at that. I would rethink your mounting location.
