  1. Have this same problem and it appears the recirculate actuator is not working. If I crank down the window a bit the problem seems to go away so I am thinking it is stuck in the recirculate mode.
  2. Did you not test drive the car before buying it?We first drove a gutless 2.4l Canada value package for a short ride before I asked to drive the 3.6.If you ask me the 2.4 is underpowered and offers little in the way of better mpg
  3. A low battery or bad alternator will put in in battery saver mode
  4. I think the slot up front is for an SD card at least in my 2013. I have never tried a video file in there so can't say if it works or not.
  5. I have seen ours do this once in a while ,skipping radio stations but very intermittently. Also once in a while does not connect to the phone but not enough to be a major problem, at least yet.
  6. Recall is only for 2014 and newer Journeys http://wwwapps.tc.gc.ca/Saf-Sec-Sur/7/VRDB-BDRV/search-recherche/detail.aspx?lang=eng&mk=33038!24277!28000!6400!1849!2444!3714!4864!5115&md=0&fy=0&ty=9999&ft=&ls=0&sy=0&rn=2018269&cf=SearchResult&pg=0
  7. Have you read through this thread? http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/topic/8231-2010-journey-wont-start/?page=2
  8. Have the battery tested even though you replaced it
  9. That alternator is a pain in the a$$ to replace on the 3.6 although by the sounds of it you must be an expert on it now.
  10. I don't recall having to do that.Besides the button just sends a signal to the opener.Think about a regular remote it's 1 button right. So if the door is closed it opens and if it's open it closes.Been years since I did it but you can contact www.homelink.com and see if they can help just don't click my link it seems links don't post well
  11. You link doesn't work properly it's missing www.fa at the front end
  12. So after 7 years(your profile lists the Journey as a 2010) you think the battery cables etc are too small to charge the battery? So how did the car run for the first 7 years? Me thinks you had a bad cable or connection but to say undersized cables ?
  13. The alternator is a pain on the 3.6 .If you take the top approach you need to disconnect some heater hose lines I believe so drain the rad etc. There isn't much in the Journey alternator online I could find when ours died but I did find a youtube video of a pretty smart mechanic who shows an alternate method on a Caravan with the 3.6
  14. I don't think though that that will confirm that all the doors are properly closed which is what the op wanted.
  15. Try this diagram https://www.moparpartscanada.ca/auto-parts/2009/dodge/journey/r-t-trim/3-5l-v6-gas-engine/body-cat/bumper-and-components-front-scat

  17. Isn't this vehicle still under warranty?
  18. Dealer alternator for a rebuilt is around $560 or so https://www.moparpartscanada.ca/auto-parts/2013/dodge/journey/crew-trim/3-6l-v6-flex-engine/electrical-cat/alternator-scat I saw a guy on youtube motor city mechanic he works at a dealership and on the 3.6 he unbolts the ac compressor on a Caravan and can squeeze it out the bottom. We had our 2013 Crew done at 45000 km and they took the rad hose approach takes a couple of hours.Got a rebuilt for about $275 or so at parts source
  19. And alternator it was a bad one.Never replaced one before and this one is 4 years old and 48000 Km on it.
  20. I'm also having a problem with our 2013 started a week ago.The gas mileage seemed to reset, changed radio stations by itself a couple of times. So I replaced the battery thinking a bad battery can cause this with low voltage. I now have a battery light and a P0622 code as well as a message that it is in battery save mode. Puttting a voltmeter across the jump terminals I sometimes see 14V and other times see 11.6 V .It almost appears to me that if I jiggle the connector that is at the alternator my voltage comes up to 14V again. It may just be a bad connection and when the engine cools down I'll try and take the connector off and see if there is anything to it.It may be the connection from the computer to the alternator? that requests the charge I don't know but it's not a heavy cable delivering the 12v
  21. You would need to wire the resistors across the positive and negative leads to simulate a speaker load. Not sure how warm they might get though if the volume was up loud I took a quick look at a lc7i processor if it accepts speaker line level inputs you would think it should simulate a load to the factory system but the specs I saw said input imedance was 20k ohms
  22. Before you go through that if there is a chance you have a voltmeter it's worth checking the battery voltage.I bought some dollar store batteries that didn't last very long and eventually bought some energizer pretty cheap on Amazon
  23. Why can't it be hardware? It could be something used by the radio in normal operation but is not used when doing a software upgrade which technically the radio is in data receive mode .Assume you have the same software 1000's of people have and they don't have this problem tells me it's a hardware issue.
