  1. Thanks for images.. I double checked and its good. I think The old belt is stretched and the new pulley are smoother so it slipping off. The new problem is the new belt which exactly the same brand and number as the old one is so short that me and my neighbor couldn't but it on. It is tooo short. Is there a logical explanation or a solution before I tow it to the mechanic. We did release the tension on the tensioner as far as it can go and we can't have enough slack to help put it on. The old belt is ACDELCO 6K1015 made in USA the new belt is ACDELCO 6K1015 made in Mexico. The difference when compared is almost an inch Thanks..
  2. Oh. Its the 2.4l 2010 model and yah YouTube was my go to app. But nothing is mentioning which goes where.
  3. hi .. its a dumb question but I did it to my self.. I was attempting to replace the belt, idler pulley(s) upper and lower + the tensioner. and I forgot which one is the upper and which is the lower. one of them is smaller the other one. the belt keeps slipping out and I think I installed them the wrong way. I would appreciate your help.
  4. Hi again.. No DTC and no MIL check engine light. the cylinder 1 misfire is gone after two full tanks of gas mixed with seafoam. I guess the throttle body is the cause. Thanks.
  5. Hello everyone.. I have recently made several maintenance procedures to my car. And while I was replacing the gasket on the intake manifold, I went and cleaned the throttle body it was pretty discolored filled with dirt and oil. The car behaved differently. At cold start it revs at 2000rpm then slowly drops to ~700rpm, it was not normal for my car and thought it was maybe a relearn process. Then a couple of weeks later I went to reclean the intake manifold, change the MAP sensor, and while at it recleaned the throttle body, it was almost clean. The car when cold, starts normally revs at 1500 and dropps down immediately to ~1000 then idle at ~700. The main issue is, If I am driving on a highway at 100km/h, it is difficult to maintain both the speed and gas pedal position. If I hold the gas pedal at a position where the speed is 100, at times It would accelerate beyond 100 and times below 100km making driving very frustrating. I have to change the gas pedal position to maintain the speed. Also, the first 1 or 2 centimeters of the gas pedal travel distance has no effect. Flooring the gas pedal while driving doesn't give much power or huge effect on acceleration. At idle, turning the A/C on almost kills the engine. Which is very weird!. Previously I could feel the load on the engine and it compensate by increasing the rpm. Questions: Is it the throttle body or the fuel pump? Is third party throttle body worth it (100-200$) or I should stick to Mopar parts. The car is 2.4l 2010 dodge journey with 300,000km (188000miles). Original throttle body and fuel pump. I used a canister of seafoam on a full fuel tank (twice) and that removed the hesitation, stuttering and the misfire.
  6. There was no code. I did a bunch of maintenance steps starting with pcv valve, spark plugs and ignition coils. Suddenly I had a 301 cylinder 1 misfire. Replaced that fuel injector and had multiple misfires. Replaced the whole set of fuel injectors. Problem was resolved temporarily and came back again. The valve cover gasket was leaking and I replaced it. Then replaced the intake manifold gasket, it was bad, leaking and soaked in oil. Problem resolved for more than a week. During the last repair I discovered the transmission cooler lines were leaking badly, the whole area was soaked. I thought the bad shifting and car struggling to move was related to the miss firing. Replaced them and changed the transmission filter. The car from transmission point of view is better but still misfiring in one cylinder. Back to your question, I thought the weird intake manifold was the wrong one but searching with VIN number revealed two options for the same model and engine with and without the baffles. anyhow, still struggling with the p301, its intermittent resolved temporarily by turning the car off and on again. From time to time it gives a 335 and 336 error and clears itself the next day. It stalls, shuts off very rarely and stopped after changing everything but I could feel when slowing down at a traffic light that it wants to shut off but resist. If I drove above 80km the car will shut off cylinder one. Just parking and restating the engine clears everything. So was it an intake manifold, absolutely not. But the gasket was in need of an immediate replacement.

  9. As the title states, I have a PDF version of the service manual. I own it as I payed for it many years ago. I would like to share it but wonder if some one already post it. The size is big around 250mb. Very extensive around 5630 pages each in 55 chapters covering all engines and trans. Thanks.
  10. Totally agree but this intake was in the car since January 2013 the date I bought it until now. I might visit the dealership and check with them. Thanks.
  11. I wen to my car again just to check, the mounts for the Flow Control Valve is there but no wire and plug and no valve. I replaced the Gasket recently and there is a hessing sound and a P0301 code. I suspect a problem with the gasket or the manifold is warped. Thanks.
  12. sorry forgot to include some information: its a 2010 2.4l dodge journey. base model. I know they 2009-2010 are one group and anything else 2011 and later are another. but when I search at Mopar or rockauto it displys intake manifolds that are different than what I have. This MOPAR part number (Intake Manifold - Mopar (04884495AK)) keeps showing every time I search for a replacement. basically I don't have a Flow Control Valve Actuator. is that standard? did the previous owner (8 years ago did something ). thanks
  13. I am seeking help and clarification from journey users. I removed my intake manifold to replace the gasket and found that my intake manifold does not have those runners or baffles I don't know what they are called. Problem is when I search any where for a replacement it only shows an intake manifold with runners and nothing without them. Is it common to have two different intakes for the same model and engine?
