  1. The European headlight switch on the Fiat Freemont has functionality to control the rear fogs. Also visible is the headlight leveling dial that takes the place of the useless door pocket dimmer present on some Journeys. Not present in this photo are the button for power folding mirrors, stick shift, center mounted parking brake, and thinner and taller armrest on top of the center console. Anyway, the Euro switch could be available for ordering through Fiat service, if not Mopar.
  2. What are the ohm values for each of the Alpine system speakers? Is it really THAT important to match those values with aftermarket speakers? I wouldn't be at risk for frying the 8.4 head unit if my replacement speakers didn't have the same values, would I?
  3. If we go for the fix, is it a free repair (i.e., like a recall)? My 3 year warranty just expired so if I have to pay tons of money for the fix, I won't do it as it's not even guaranteed to work.
  4. I had my amp firmware updated by my dealer (at the same time as my emissions and steering unit firmware). I can't really tell a difference in sound quality. It is still subpar.
  5. How could the dealer not understand that the key fob *has* to have a battery in it? Either that, or the laws of physics have changed to allow the key fob to be powered by electricity created out of thin air.
  6. 2013 R/T changes: Heated steering wheel with red stitching Dimpled leather seating High-performance suspension $1,000 lower sticker price
  7. Could you post a link to the deluxe splash guards? Are they a Mopar product? I am aware of the flat molded splash guards, but not the deluxe ones. I know that only FRONT flat molded splash guards are available for the 2012-2013 Journey. Front and rear splash guards are available for the 2009-2011 Journey, but according to my dealer (who contacted Chrysler about this to double check), the rear splash guards do not fit the 2012-2013 Journeys. There's also the extremely slim possibility that Chrysler is wrong about this. Has anyone successfully installed the 2009-2011 rear splash guards on a 2012 or 2013 Journey?
  8. OK. Just trying to figure out how to control it. If it is plug and play, I could just give the remote to the kiddo. She is getting bored of DVD's! She doesn't watch much TV at home except for PBS so I figured some "junk TV" in the car is OK!
  9. The 2013 R/T reportedly will receive a new "high performance" suspension. Now THAT is something I would be interested in. The shocks and springs on my R/T are not quite firm enough for me, and there is a bit more roll and sway in cornering than I'd like. I realize the R/T is not a sports car, but I crave a more European feel to the handling, even if the Journey is just a people-mover! I wonder if the new suspension will be available as a retrofit for earlier Journeys. See here: http://www.allpar.co.../dodge-ram.html

  11. Just read at Allpar that the 2013 R/T will have several interior changes, including dimpled leather seats and a heated, dimpled, and red-stitched leather steering wheel. I wonder if that steering wheel can be retrofitted onto earlier Journeys?
  12. I know that Sirius Backseat TV is not available as a factory option in 2012 Journeys. However, has anyone installed it in a 2012 either through a dealer or aftermarket retailer? If so, how does it integrate with Uconnect? I am thinking about getting this for entertaining the kiddo, but don't know how well it will operate. Thanks!
  13. I have this problem. If I fill the tank all the way up without topping off, the gauge reads a bit under the full mark. If I top off the tank a significant amount, sometimes it will read full, other times not. A little frustrating!
  14. I'll go for it. Maybe a red Charger R/T badge too. Might be a little too tacky, though.
