pacsound reacted to bramfrank in Bluetooth ability lost on 8.4N Radio-Hands free gone as well-Ideas?
OK, I stumbled across this while Googling something else:
As it happens, the BT module is a separate device - it is connected to the radio on one of the two USB connectors on the back of the radio (one is for the BT module and the other for the USB connection in the console - not sure which of the two goes to which application) and is held in place with a plastic lock. Apparently there is a second connector between the radio and the BT module which also has a locking pin.
If either of these connectors that go to the BT module (or the one in the actual module itself - and I don't know where that is) becomes disconnected or if the BT module itself stops working the radio will think you don't have Bluetooth . . . . if the lock is broken, possibly because someone with Gorilla hands forced the connector apart without properly depressing the release, the connector can work its way out and break the connection.
So, if you've had any work done behind the dash that required pulling the radio or may have disturbed the wiring behind the dash, the connector may have been 'hanging by a hair . . . you can pull the radio module (it is behind the air conditioning controls) and check that out.
    Good luck

The symptoms you gave are classic wheel bearing failure. You will need change out the hub assembly. There are other treads in this section on this procedure.

Journeys with AWD are non E85. They have a different gas tank. 2W units are usually E85.

pacsound got a reaction from Journey_SeXT in Left cylinder head letter.
Got this letter in the mail today:
3.6L ENGINE LEFT CYLINDER HEAD EXTENDED WARRANTY
This letter is to inform you that the warranty period (5 years or 100,000 Kilometers) on the 3.6 engine left Cylinder head on select vehicles has been extended to 10 years or 240,000 Kilometers.
This 3.6L engine left cylinder head extended warranty coverage applies to the following select vehicle models and model years:
2011Grand Cherokee, Durango, Minivan, 200, Avenger, Journey, 300, Charger or Challenger 2012Grand Cherokee, Durango, Minivan, 200, Avenger, Journey, 300, Charger, Challenger or Wrangler 2013Grand Cherokee, Durango, Minivan, 200, Avenger, Journey, 300, Charger, Challenger or Wrangler
We are extending the 3.6L engine left cylinder head warranty period because some of the affected vehicle population may experience a valve guide and valve seat wear condition on the left cylinder head, which may result in misfire and subsequent illumination of the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL). If the vehicle experiences this condition, contact your dealer to have the repairs performed. Conversely. if the vehicle does not experience this condition, then the left cylinder head is operating correctly and no repair is necessary.
This warranty extension applies only to the above component; the other terms of your warranty remain the same.
If you have questions or concerns which your dealer is unable to resolve, please contact Chrysler Canada Customer Care at: 1-800-465-2001 (English) or 1-800-387-9983 (French). Or write to:

Glad no one was hurt. Looks like the Kia can handle off road well
I do have one question though; Did Kia start hiring people from Toyota?

Did you try looking under the seat, from the back seat, and see if you can see/feel the latch? If you can, pull it towards the rear of the car, maybe it might open. If you can see your tab, try putting some pressure down on the seat while you pull the tab. Maybe you'll get luckly.

What models of Journey include this? I'm ordered a 2012 Rallye AWD and had to order the Tow Prep Package to get it. Did I pay for something I already have?

Some of this is no longer accurate (Avenger is being dropped entirely), but still a good indication of what's to come.

Since this came out, we now know that Nitro is dropped, the compact sedan is Dart, the Fullsize CUV is Durango, and the Viper is back. Also, the B segment small car is still up in the air.

If you wanted to get techinical, the arrow whould always point up, since that is your direction of travel.
Seems to me that it is pointing to the left because you are headed west, which is traditionally depicted os being to the left, north being 'up'.
