  1. Man, that sux!! I have never had any problems with my sunroof. I can't imagine the hole being too large. The only thing about the Flex/Edge is you would be giving up your flexible (3rd row) seating. That's why we bought the Journey. To get the 3rd row, you would have to move up to Higlander/Traverse/Pilot/Acadia land, which are all more expensive. Let's just hope it can still be fixed.
  2. So, I just called the dealership. They found the problem. The (I think I heard this right) tipim module, whatever that is, had a short in it, causing it to shut off. They ordered a new one and I should have it back tomorrow. I'm also having them check a slight knock in the engine and the squeek in the driver's side rear wheel well. I'll update when I know something.
  3. <_< Well, I have some bad news. The Journey is at the dealership and we are in a rental. Friday night my wife was heading to a dress rehearsal for a dance recital with the Journey loaded with 3 year old girls. Going down the road at 50 mph, the car suddenly cuts off...electrics and all. My wife had no power steering / brakes. All the lights also went off, creating a very dangerous situation. Thankfully, she was able to wrestle it off the road. Once she got it stopped, she turned the key off and then back on. It cranked right back up. It did it one more time later on that night with me, and believe me those 19 inch wheels are to turn w/out power steering. So, Saturday morning I'm at the dealership. My luck, the service dept. is closed now on Sat. and Sun. So, they get me a rental and tell me they will call me when they know something. Wish me luck, guys.
  4. Just noticed the extra set of brake lights you have in the bumper. We don't have those in the States. Is that some UK requirement...like front and back plates?

    Hi from the UK!

Welcome...I'm so jealous of your Diesel option...GRRR!!!
  6. Hey...welcom to the forum. The Journey is a great vehicle, but I don't know if it can replace a Ram. If you need a truck, the Journey won't cut it. If you realized you don't need a truck but still need some utility, you're in the right boat.
  7. I've hit up to 26 on the highway going around 60, but never averaged over 20.
  8. Welcome. I agree with the placement of the radio. After you get used to it it's actually better, especially with the controls on the steering wheel.
  9. Great Story! What a deal. Hope you continue to post and enjoy you Journey.
  10. Welcome...and thanks Wyoram for being the official "Welcome to the Club" guy. I'll try to start helping out.
  11. ^^^^^This has happened with mine, also. It will never do it twice in a row and not all the time, but that's exactly what it feels like. I don't know...
  12. I don't think it is dual clutch, I just think it is unrefined. They (all manufacturers) rushed these things into production to battle the gas price spike. I think in a few years, providing they are still viable and have resources, they will be much smoother.
  13. Although you have had numerous new vehicles, this is more than likely your first 6spd. It's proabbly a little rough around the edges. I will say that I test drove an Acadia, and it is much worse. It searches for gears back and forth the entire time. After that, I can stand a little clunking.
  14. We have the red/beige, and love it. I did not like the dark grey...very boring. Unfortunatley, we ordered ours...didn't see one on the lot, either.
  15. Wow, that is a great deal. I got mine, same packaging as yours, for $23,000 and thought that was the best deal. I got mine last May when they were brand new. I had an idioitc salesman that had no idea what he was doing. The dealership made up by giving it to me at their costs. Welocome to the forum.
  16. Sounds great!!! I hope he finds the clunking issue. I don't want to take mine in until I know what is wrong.

    Journey in Finland

Welcome. I would love to see the pictures of the manual. it is not offered here in the states.
  18. I have no idea. My wife took it in. The dealer agreed with her and seemed to know right away what to order.
  19. I have experienced the buzzing noise at highway speeds. It is the cowl. They ordered a new part and I am waiting for it to come in.
  20. I've heard this. It doesn't do it all the time, though.

    Gas mileage

Why would I want a V-6? My Journey has become a tailgaiting vehicle. We inserted a tray into the hitch and tied down a cooler, tent, and about 10 chairs. Then we load up six or seven pwople and all their stuff. Also, just last week, I hooked up to a trailer and hauled about 15 bails of hay. I chose the V-6 because I need the V-6. Does that help?
  22. What has went wrong with it?
