  1. Why would this insult folks, unless you designed the car with Caliber brakes knowing full well they were not big enough, people just like a place to vent since Chrysler is ignoring them. And the reason some folks keep them is because they don't make enough money to just go take a loss on their vehicle.
  2. I would suggest saving your money on buying just one tire and get all new four with a new car, I suggest Ford or GM. As soon as I can, I will be getting rid of mine. Read if you dare: http://www.dodgejour...ryslers-for-me/
  3. Just threw some more money at the Journey, just ordered door lock actuator ($55), again. The fun just keeps going on and on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. I am the primary driver of the vehicle and its been like that from about 5,000 miles or so....trust me, its the brakes, the brakes are from a Caliber which is a much smaller/lighter vehicle.
  5. Brakes are a big issue for this car, I have a 2009, the only way to make go away is to replace with aftermarket, ie EBC or POWERSLOT. If the issue is there after all that, have them check your tie rod ends, one of mine almost fell off after a long trip. Of course I am out of warranty, but I had to call Michigan during my under warranty brake issues because they didnt want to cover it since was of the 12,000 mile wear warranty.
  6. I would suggest not buying one, there are so many other vehicles out there that are so much better. I have a 2009 Journey that I soon be getting rid of, I hope. http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/index.php?/topic/2836-2009-journey-no-more-chryslers-for-me/
  7. Where to start....Brakes, Brakes, Brakes. I have faught tooth and nail to get them to fix the issue and I finally got them to replace once, then I get a letter from those idiots at Dodge stating they wanted to help with the brake issue as long as I was still under warranty, well guess what, I was way out of warranty and they did not care. Lets see, oh yeah, Tires, Tires, Tires. Very few available. Steering issues, lock actuators, iPod intergration issues, transmission issues!!!!! One more, right tie rod was just about to fall off the thing, heard a noise a few miles from the house after a long family trip, checked the neat day and it needed to be replaced, it was and then a front end alignment after that. The best part, mileage is only 48,000 miles or so......yippee. I will be soon getting rid of this POS and never buying a Chrysler product again....and I use to work for Dodge. Forgot one, now my BAS/ESP is on they cant figure how to make it stay off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I tell everyone I can do not buy, rent, lease or even borrow one of these. , Theres is my story!!!!!
  8. Well, picked up my car today from the stealership and all covered by warranty. They said the rotors have no more life in them, and only after one time of resurfacing, gotta love Dodge brakes. Well I can look on the bright side.....I will get to go another 18,000 miles or so before I get to do it again.....yippee. Word of advice for you 2009 Journey owners......call the corporate office in Michigan and raise holy h*** with them.
  9. Well, took car to stealership for brake noise at left front and paint peeling on left outside mirror. Here is the verdict: front brakes shot, rotors and pads and they are graciously going to re-paint the mirror for me. They want $330 for pads and rotors, but wait, they are lifetime pads.......!@#$. I told the so called service writer not to touch my car with anything MOPAR if I am paying for it.......I will do the brake job myself if my battle with Dodge does not pan out. The sad part about all this, this is my 3rd Chrysler product an two with the same brake issue, the other was a 2000 Jeep Gr. Cherokee, Chrysler replaced the pads and rotors on that slug six times about every 5k - 6k miles until they decided no more....that's when I took it to the Hummer dealer and got a H3. I decided to go back to Dodge and here I am. 2009 Journey
  10. Anyone know how to turn off the seatbelt chime?
