bigtsr got a reaction from lynne in Hill Start Assist in Uconnect
Hill start assist only works when you are at a fixed
amount of angle or so it seems to me , only have
1900 km on the Jeep.

Yes it has ESS(start/stop).
I have driven a 2015 Chrysler 200 2.4 L automatic that also had "hill assist" setting via base Uconnect.

I have it in my 2016 Jeep Cherokee LTD with 9 spd auto
and it is indeed enabled/disabled thru 8.4 AN
settings.

bigtsr got a reaction from dhh3 in Caliber turbo manifold.
The 2.4 as used in the Caliber SRT4 had enhanced innards for use with the turbo.
I was on the Caliber forum 5 yrs and people that tried turbo on standard 2.4 blew them up.

Buy a bottle of "Wipe New" it will resolve the appearance for once and all.

bigtsr got a reaction from dhh3 in Journey will not start.
2012 could have build date in 2011 and if it's the original battery
that means it could be 5 yrs old.
Have it load tested , on average 5 -6 yrs is the norm with regards
to OEM batteries.

Obviously not someone who really knows what Jeep looks like , you
would think the grill minus 7 openings and the word Dodge would give
him a clue.

I have the 2 front WeatherTech mats from my 2011 DJ for sale in "like new"
condition.
If your out this Burlington area I'll let you have them for $50.00 if you pick
them up.
They only have 1 hole for the keep down hook but that's minor mod for your DJ,
new ones are 160.00 at WeatherTech.

bigtsr got a reaction from dhh3 in smell towing uphill
I think the OP is referring to "oil cooler" and not filter.
Talk to someone who sells trailers they must have
references for someone who installs after market coolers.
Have the tranny serviced by dealer/tranny shop to
start fresh with fluid and filter in tranny.

bigtsr got a reaction from dhh3 in DJ comparison
Drove for 5 yrs , cvt is a learning experience.
I missed it when I bought the DJ and it never gave me a moments regret or problem ,
I could burn rubber with it.
