  1. What he said^^^^. You should always disconnect the battery when doing electrical work on today's airbag equipped vehicles.
  2. Possibly the belt tensioning idler pulley is failing. The World Engine (1.8-2.0-2.4L) also used in the Caliber models has a much posted failure of the overrunning clutch on the alternators, starts low and ends up noisy like a diesel.
  3. It's an interior package upgrade for the SXT in Canada.
  4. I have WeatherTech also but another good brand is Husky and they're a little more robust in looks and material.

    TPMS

Welcome to the forum. Have you tried inflating by 2 lbs over recomended?
  6. Sounds as if they didn't do something right reconnecting wiring after engine work , they would have stripped the head down to do lifters.
  7. Welcome to the forum. You don't tell us much about your DJ i.e year, radio model etc. You can have someone disconnect the car battery for 10 - 15 minutes to reboot the computer systems as this is sometimes the culprit. Sirus has less than a stellar reputation when helping subscribers , if you use the search facility here you can research for answers.
  8. AHhhh! Well the 2009 had its problems but I assure you the 2011 to date are light years away from the introductory model in many ways and the majority of forum members have great results.
  9. Thanks for reporting your (hopefully) fix - adds to the knowledge base.
  10. Thanks for reporting back.
  11. First try resetting the TIPM by disconnecting the battery for 10 - 15 minutes. If that fails then you may be right with the range selector switch.
  12. I won last January - only $1000.00 tho. Worst thing was I had to drive into the big smoke to collect so minus $20.00 parking.

    Long weekend

I have had 16 yrs where every week end is 7 days long. Just hard to keep out of the wifes way!
  14. Welcome to the forum. First try resetting the computer bus by disconnecting the battery at the negative jumper point for 10 - 15 minutes when reconnected it will reset the system. If that fails then in all likelihood it's a failed radio module - use that warranty.
  15. As I said "the wiring isn't the trigger for air actuation those devices are located elsewhere." It will be safe to drive to dealer with indicators lit.
  16. Welcome to the forum. If as you indicate your not touching any of the available controls and as it's a new vehicle , I would use the warranty that you have and have the dealer resolve the problem.
  17. I honestly don't know what the wiring convention is for seat belt but it is integrated with the seat weight sensing and seat belt home position. Check the plugs/connections under the seat.
  18. I don't believe it will go off because those connections are only for firing and not triggering the actual deployment. The negative jumper point under the hood is readily accessible and you only need the appropriate tools.
  19. Welcome to the forum. From my personal past experience tracking Mopar cars I have purchased I was only able to do so once the VIN # (actual build order) was generated.
  20. Welcome to the forum. Disconnect the DJs battery at the negative jumper point before you do anything electrical on these vehicles. It may be as simple as reconnecting/soldering the wires back to original and reconnecting battery/driving X miles or having the stored code reset.
  21. Have the brakes been replaced? Warped rotors or poorly torqued wheels will also create the shakes.
