  1. They still have this feature on some of lines such as the Jeep Cherokee.
  2. Go here put your VIN in under euipment listing - will tell you what your DJ left the factory with installed. http://www.dodge.com/webselfservice/dodge/index.html?screenName=newVehicle&country=us&emailUrl=goToEmailForm%2528%2527R%2527%2529
  3. Thick as a skid plate!!!!!!
  4. Funny I thought 2011 and up the rear hatches are completely composite material and hoods are aluminum.
  5. I know when the fix was put in place but he indicates "2011" which is the series that was the reason for the extended warranty.
  6. Could be that cylinder head gremlin they issued the extended warranty to cover.
  7. I use "Michelin" branded wipers from Costco they cost $11 a piece for the windshield and last 6-8 months.
  8. If it's stuck in Neutral and won't move then I would suggest it's related to shift linkage or a range selector problem. If you step on the brake and hear a little click that's the shifter lock solenoid.
  9. Much posted occurrence , mine has done it occasionally since new and it appears from other posts that it is regarded as normal.
  10. Welcome to the forum. Enjoy the new ride.
  11. Did they do a visual inspection? My brakes were done all around at 50,000 kms because I do so many city kms a lot of start/stop cycles.
  12. Just wait until they start "carbon tax" ours supposedly starting next January it is reported to be 4.3 cents/liter or about 16 cents/US gallon.
  13. Electrical gremlins , many posts covering 2009 models. Could be the TIPM , control stalk on the steering column , the clockspring assy in the steering wheel and it brings to question whether wiring loom recall for the 2009 was done. You could try the old standby of disconnecting the battery for 10-15 minutes to reboot the computer as a first effort.
  14. DRL's are turned on/off at the factory dependent on the destination of that individual vehicle , if they aren't mandated in your region they didn't set the sales code set. As for AHL that is marketing for you some one decided the CR would come without them.
  15. Fully acceptable results for the Pentastar considering the terrain/environment and makes a statement as to your driving style. When I first drove mine on a flat expressway for 320 km non stop on cruise and admittedly with a tailwind at 110 km per hour I saw 7.2 L/100km.
  16. Does not make economical sense to swap out , how long would it take to recover costs with savings. There's is a lot of hardware/software involved in an idea like this ,if it was a diesel I would go with the chip as many of the European diesel owners have in the past.
  17. Is it just one door or all?? They are adjustable if you are mechanically inclined or have a dealer do it. My 2011 SXT after 4.5 yrs on the road still closes quietly and solid.

    Checking Out

Congrats - you will start to wonder how you had time to work after a while. Called it quits in 2000 @ 59 years old after 39 years.
  19. I go thru a Petrocan with the cloth brushes all the time and no damage.
  20. Been posted xxx times before but tranny range selector assy or cables at the starter itself. Give me a break lemon law on a potentially 8 year old car!!!
  21. I would say your best source would be a recycler/junkyard to pay reasonable price.
  22. Past posts would indicate a speed sensor (transmission/wheel) has failed regarding cruise control, the brake light could be a indicator of a bad brake switch assy and again your right this could be a player in the cruise problem.
  23. Rule of thumb has always been when the oil change indicator comes on/at least every 6 months/ whatever mileage you personally feel comfortable with or can afford. Yea can see the GM dealer writing up that "failure to do maintenance" report.
  24. Welcome to the forum. You can check for recalls and other info here: http://www.dodge.com/webselfservice/dodge/index.html?screenName=newVehicle&country=us&emailUrl=goToEmailForm%2528%2527R%2527%2529 It would sound at first read that your turn signal/wiper control stalk has failed either that or what is specified as the electrical "clockspring" in the steering wheel. I would recommend having a dealer look at it as it is an electrical problem.
