Funny I thought 2011 and up the rear hatches are completely composite material and hoods are aluminum.

I know when the fix was put in place but he indicates "2011" which is the series that was the reason for the extended warranty.

Could be that cylinder head gremlin they issued the extended warranty to cover.

Electrical gremlins , many posts covering 2009 models. Could be the TIPM , control stalk on the steering column , the clockspring assy in the steering wheel and it brings to question whether wiring loom recall for the 2009 was done. You could try the old standby of disconnecting the battery for 10-15 minutes to reboot the computer as a first effort.

I would recommend having a dealer look at it as it is an electrical problem.
