Welcome to the forum. Well there are 2 solenoid references when it comes to the tranny one being the shift lock but it sounds as your stuck in 2nd gear it would be the solenoid shift pack. This is internal to the tranny and requires tools/knowledge and getting dirty , unless you have all these I would suggest you pay a qualified mechanic to deal with it.

Individual likes/dislikes have a lot to do in this area , if I thought changing mufflers would make the DJ sound like my old 340 Cuda I would be all over it. Good luck and enjoy!

I think you have a handle on your needs , AWD may not be a necessity as well dependent on your destinations and whether you really have to go anywhere that urgently , I have driven thru 4 snow covered winters with all seasons and FWD only. If you have a cellphone I would say BT is a must personally with the laws/fines on distracted nowadays it's a plus.

The airbag/head restraints are all one system so if you replaced the head rests with aftermarkets and did not reconnect the included electrical connections of the originals you will never clear the symbol/alert. Always disconnect the car battery when dealing with electrical in todays cars it has an effect on many components.

Welcome to the forum. The clock is a non starter from past posts and my own experience they gain time and to date there is no software update/flash to remedy it. There was a TSB associated with the radio volume being high on start up and there was a update/flash to correct it. The blowers may be associated with auto temp control settings if you have that feature on the 8.4 controls.
