  1. Well it was such a nice day here in Alabama I decided to clean the old girl up of course she wasn't really dirty but cleaned her up and then put on a coat of wax, cleaned the interior up with 303 interior cleaner /detailer love this stuff, then I decided to super clean the windshield inside and out since my wife smokes (ugh) cleaned the interior glass three times with water ,ammonia ,and some white vinegar  and then dried between each time with some hand towels from the house. I use to use microfiber towels but after I would get done and then look thru the windshield towards the sun it would always seem to sparkle like twinkle light everywhere but when I clean with reg cotton towel I don't get the sparkly glass look,,,has any one else ever noticed this when using microfiber towels? anyways finished up with 2 coats of rain x on the outside and then a quick clean wipe with the reg towels,,,whew the old journey is looking great for and 10 yr old suv

  2. well since they are mandated by law in Canada that might be the reason there is no option on your journey to turn them on/off , as in the U S it is just an option,,,I have always and still do check ( every few months) all my lights at night in front of my garage or a large window in a store to see the reflection, take care and stay out of the ditches.

  3. No, that is normal,,,actually your journey wiper is wiping better than mine at the very top of the arc ,mine leaves a small part unwiped I have bought every kind of wiper and still doesn't clean it completely, it has been mentioned on here enough that seems to be a common problem for some...not to big of a problem for me as we don't get the slop and dirt in Alabama on the rear window that it bothers me.oh well.

To transfer ownership vehicle needs to be certified by the dealer he mentioned. Everything has to work , for 36 days I believe.

    Just bring it back.

DTR Wont come on if parking brake used and remote start is used.  Could check front yellow signal bulbs. They are two filament bulbs (like 1157 brake light)  with direction signal flash and running light on separate filaments. But are yellow coloured 1157.

Some cars use main head light bulbs on lower power feed via a separate DTR module. Journey doesn’t.

ALFAOBD can be used to turn on day time running lights feature in the ecm.  Lots of U.S. guys have done it as an extra safety item. Feature not on dash display controls, or at least not on my 2014 or daughter in laws 2012.

the DRL on a journey does use the high beam bulbs but at half power,,, that is why I use led on the low beams and not on the high beams   ALSO I read in the older post from journeyman that after 2014 he couldn't add the sales code for DRL as dodge quit letting dealers to add them......................Journeyman425  have been several topics in various threads on this Forum regarding Daytime Running Lamps. For 2011-2013 models, if they were not equipped or working, adding the sales code LMK and performing a Vehicle Restoration or Reconfiguration would enable the DRL. For 2014, DRL has become a stand-alone factory option and can no longer be added at the dealer level. Anyone reading this Forum and considering the purchase of a new Journey that wants DRL will have to find a vehicle with the feature already enabled from the factory or, if ordering a new Journey, will have to factory-order the feature...

my 2014 didn't come with them on it, had the fellow blogger on here(   Journeyman425 ) he added the sales code to my vin#  at his dealership and then my drls started working

Who wants to be a mod? No. It’s not paid.  No one here gets paid. I don’t even know who runs this platform.  Anyone interested?

so what is req for the mod to do?, is it a lot of computer typing or programming, or simply to oversee the site with very little work? I assume you have a password to override certain post and move them to the correct spots? just wondering,

Yes it does. I understand from a FFun salesmen that the sunroof track has to be removed to access drain holes.

Is the removal procedure easily done ?

How do you clear the obstruction without causing any further water intake ?

Should vehicle sunroof stay away from direct water pressure in a touch-less car wash ?

    Daniel

check out YouTube videos on sunroof drains and how to clean them out...here is what you should be looking for this one is on a caravan but should almost be the same setup as most SUVS..........REMEMBER YOUTUBE is your best bet for info on how to fix your journey or anything else

Did you go the the settings page of the center infotainment/radio  screen and check lighting section?

The thread just posted says such if you read thru it.

So you JUST RECENTLY bought this Journey, YES there are a lot of things to get accustomed to with these cars, and I would even surmise that door lock options can also be found thru settings page of the infotainment screen.

he isn't giving very good info I wonder if he has bought a journey made for the U.S. instead of a Canadian model as the U.S. version drl are an option and Canada modules drl are mandatory  or there has been some damage to the drl lighting system due to an animal accident as he has said its in the cars history

  9. this is where you need to go to see if your journey drl are set to come on,since you are in Canada I assume it is the law there for all cars to have drl at all times, YOU may have a problem as to why they are not coming on, WHEN the journey is in a  forward gear they

light up if your in PARK......also you don't give the year your journey was made as well

No robo-Johan,  read Navallacross post above.

FCA at the time did not want to pay for testing to meet new DOT towing capacity compliance. Real world testing needed post 2010 to keep the higher weight rating.

There already was awd available on the higher rated 2009-10 models. Awd not new for 3.6 engine.

I agree with you John/Horace about johanbrandon .just a an AI bot on here, he needs to be removed from the blog

When you lock the locks it should trigger the car to shut all power off. The radio on most cars have a delayed off function to allow   person to listen for a bit with engine off. Is dash going completely dark after doors are locked?

Try switching radio off manually before shutting engine off,  always.   Is there blue tooth and is it still working on the vehicle. Blue tooth module staying on all the time is a common battery drain. Very expensive module, some people just pull fuse.

make sure your glove box light is shutting off after its closed,,,,,,,,,,,,,, as well make sure you don't have anything plugged into the power outlets other than the front one

  12. I did replace mine with a interstate about 2.5 yrs ago and it is still doing good ,it was really cold here last wee, and it did do one slow start which has me wondering if I should replace it,but since then it is starting real quick now. but the power steering pump sure does give a yelp on the first start each morning, temps have been getting down to 9 degrees

  13. if everything works okay when the oil sensor is discounted, then it seems possible for the sensor to be shorting out and causing your problems ,   you might want to replace the sensor. mine in my 2014 went bad at around 40 k miles but all it did was peg the needle to max on the gage
