Success!  Thanks, it was fairly painless.  Though I was overly cautious not wanting to completely destroy anything with my lack of experience.

And, you may find a slot for an SD card just at the base under all the controls.  Doesn't use up an USB port which you could use for changing and/or bump into a "stick" while digging around the bin.  Works the same, format fat32, load with mp3 and have weeks of music ready to play.   Just another option.

As for the phone, I believe it bluetooh connection is, form the phone's view, an external speaker with controls.  So you  don't get to see playlist for most models.  I understand some of the newer systems with different phones may have enhanced features.

Hi djk, Sorry to hear you are experiencing this concern, we certainly understand why this would be concerning. If you end up addressing this with your local Dodge dealer again, please let us know via PM. We'd be more than happy to provide you with an additional layer of assistance for that process.

I pulled the factory radio and UConnect out, installed a Kenwood with wireless CarPlay and couldn’t be happier.  No IPhone connection issues, no delete, reinstall, re-pair bs...not a fan of UConnect.  Always had some kinda issue with my 09’s....

I wonder was it turning it's self on, or was something trying to turn it on.  The module was defective in that it didn't always work, there was some error code related to it... but was it flubed up it's self, or were/are there "outside forces" causing it to flub up.

    Thanks for the positive outlook!
